Slackers beware! Terry Brown has zero tolerance for late work and absences. There are 3 major projects that involve going out to parks and events and writing a journal for each. She is adamant about following instructions. There are a lot of opportunities to make extra credit. Helpful and a great conversation's person in off-class hours.

Terry Brown is the most confusing teacher I have ever had. She makes up the due dates and does whatever she wants. I went to her office and told me an assignment was due next wk, but the next day she said it was due today. My interest in this subject has gone down since I took this class. The grading system was horrible.

She is an interesting lecturer but the positives end there. The only person who understands what she expects and wants her students to understand is herself. Beyond that, her lack of organization stresses her students immensely. Also she her attendance and discipline policy are quite unreasonable and shows no understanding towards students needs.

This teacher's methods are ridiculously horrible. She is so scatter brained it is hard to understand what she wants us to understand from the class. The labs were pointless and the tests had nothing to do with what she talked about. Do not take this class. Sounded interesting, but I was wrong! She grades unfairly. And, her lectures are quite boring

She was a huge disappointment. SHe is unclear her test to not match what she has even talked about. She failed me in the class because she forgot to put in one of my grades for our major group project. She very hard to get answer back when you email her. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!

If you take this class, get some good friends who you can rely on. Lots of outside group work, tedious projects and goals, aimed at one thing: Getting you out there and making you learn yourself. I learned a lot from this class, and what I learned was on subject. Unfortunately, her methods are questionable. Read other reviews, they are accurate.

Lectures are unclear and aimless. Directions are designed to further complicate one's understanding of the assignment, testing your ability to read between the lines instead of understanding the subject matter. Too much group work outside of class, conflicting schedules. Hypocritcal and arrogant. FIND A DIFFERENT TEACHER!

Introductory Biology... The class is difficult but I pulled an A because of a very good group for the MANY major group projects and labs. Lectures were terrible with 100ish people in a room, though most science classes are that way. Most would not prefer her. Worst case scenario she is tolerable but not very understanding of issues people face.

She is the WORST teacher I have ever had at this school. The class material isn't hard to understand, but she is so unclear in her assignment requirements that it's damn near impossible to get a good grade on her essays, so you have to redo every one. Also, 30% of your grade relies on 5 tedious group projects with the same people all semester long.

not going to lie, Terry is crazy but super passionate about what she does. always willing to help out. explains her lectures in terms easy to understand! the class was pretty easy. it was a lot like my high school biology class, just a little more in depth. it was few worksheets and then a few tests. just show up and you'll do fine.

Terry knows her stuff. Her lectures get off of track but it is because she takes all questions seriously and ensures you understand the answer. You will use the book lots and have several take home tests. You also have lots of extra credit oppertunities. If you go to class, do the worksheets and attend lab you'll learn a lot. I would take her again

Her lectures have no direction and I'm not sure I learned anything but she was more interested in us going and learning outside of class like going to movies that have to do with global warming or going on a hike and writing about it for ExCredi
