Terry is a sweetheart. Very easy going and hilarious. Had him for 4 different courses and he was amazing every single time. He is an expert in the field of English. He teaches at night. Gives 2-3 essays that arent difficult and isnt a tough grader. You dont have to participate but the lectures are so exciting youll end up participating in a way

BEST PROFESSOR!!!! I've taken a few of his classes, as I am an English lit major. No matter what question you ask him, he knows the answer. Razor sharp wit, funny, and full of wisdom. He shares wisdom with the class that you will have the rest of your life! Best professor, I definitely recommend this rare professor to anyone at LaGuardia!

Take this professor!!! SERIOUSLY! You will not regret it. Even though I did not want to take a late night class, it was SO worth it. He is hilarious, very lenient when an issue pops up. We only had to do 2 exams in this class which are essays and that's all. He gives you like 15 options on what you want to do for the exam. Best guy ever, for real.

He really is the best professor I've ever had. I recommend him to all the people I meet at LaGuardia if they need to take an Eng course. He is hilarious and makes night classes worth it. It's been 4 years since I've taken a course with Terry and till this day I still talk about him. He is THEE best hands down prof at LAGCC. He is engaging, he cares, he creates an environment of learning you want to go to. I wish ALL my lit classes would've been with him (and I think I took about 4 or 5 with him). Trust you will NOT regret it.

Prof Cole is truly a gem. One of the best, if not the best professor at lagcc. Poetry class was fun because of his teaching. He tends to be late, which is fine. He doesn't gives tons of hw and gives one take home exam and a take home final exam which is a piece of cake. If you have the chance take his classes, you won't regret it!

This prof is so smart and funny that I taken 3 classes with him. take him you will be glad u did, it was so much that I looked forward to going to class every time. very flexible with deadlines just let him know he will extend it exams are easy.

Great professor, very inspirational - I started liking poetry thanks to him (reading only!). He gives so much information about writers, American history and conveys one toward the "right" literature. Read his texts carefully, incorporate the notes you took in the class, be careful with grammar, think beyond thesis essay and it will be an easy "A".

Give 3 exams, they're based on the material given. He comes to class late, but he's a relaxed professor. No text book involved. you don't need a notebook unless you want to bring it just in case, you can write the little bit of notes on the poems he gives you. He has many jokes some come prepared and he's honest

I took British literature with him and he's AMAZING. If you ever have to miss class just shoot him an email explaining why and get the missing work he's very understanding. His lectures are very interesting and he's hilarious. I've never had a boring class with him. I would highly recommend taking a class with him you won't regret it :-).

Honestly, my favorite professor in this school. He teaches a variety of English courses. And no matter the subject, he knows his stuff. He makes class interesting and fun, and you walk away from his class actually learning something. He doesn't worry about the small stuff, and is helpful whenever you ask. You won't regret taking his classes.
