Such a nice guy!! I wish he taught more than one class. Overall a pretty easy class, 3 exams and 2 papers. If you want an A on exams just read the chapters and take notes. HE gave everyone A's on papers!!

There were 3 exams and 2 papers, and attendance counts. He talks the entire class, can get boring at times, but he is also hilarious. Easy A on papers. If you want to get an A on exams, you need to work on your own. Read and take notes. Tests you on little things in book. Exams - 25 MC, 25 T/F, 5 short answer. Great man, interesting class.

Such a sweet guy! never learned any names, and never really taught anything, just told alot of stories. Book is a must as he tests on the book but never uses it to teach. Boring class to sit thorugh, but an easy A

If you are looking for an easy class to pull an A or B in then this is the class for you. Prof. Dougherty is a great guy and professor, who is very lenient and understanding. However, I was a bit disappointed he never made an effort to know students names though. The class consisted of 3 tests and 2 short papers. Definitely take him!!!

should make an effort to remember student names. many professors teach multiple courses and are able to, while he only teaches one. just rambles on telling stories. take it from a legendary slacker - this course is not what it's cracked up to be. should have taken advanced guitar.
