You take notes from what he says and the chalk notes he writes, very hard to follow so if you miss something tha'ts already a missed test question. Everything is cumulative, but he basically keeps his quizzes the same from year to year so if you find someone who took it already just ask for their old quizzes and you're golden.

If you miss one class, you will loose one letter grade. Good luck. The tests are very hard and no room to mess up. There are no t many assignments other than the tests.

Rushes over material that is on the test for 25 minutes. Lot of time wasted in class when u should be learning info for test. A majority of the class gets D's or lower on quizzes. Each multiple choice question is worth 5 points. There are a lot of specific open ended responses. Did better in OChem than this class.

He does not use any presentation tool. He talks and expects you to listen. Very nice guy and enthusiastic. Tests are cumulative and difficult.

I took Professor Giles online for Sacred Scriptures. It was by far the easiest class I've ever taken. All he assigned was 2 papers every week.

Ok he is abrasive at first and you won't learn much about the Bible but he teaches you about life! He really is a smart man and he has a lot of good values. He's a big goof too so don't take him too seriously.

nice man and enthusiastic professor. But, just too disorganized. handwriting is terrible so you can't read his feedback and his lectures are chalk notes which are almost impossible to read. Quizzes are hard but luckily final is copy and paste of them. I would not recommend the class to anyone either. Excessive assignments.

lectures are entertaining though tough to keep up with. the quizzes he gives are rather difficult but his presentations are easy A's, and the final is literally the quizzes mashed together

He gets so excited about what he's teaching it can be hard to keep up. However, it is doable if you pay attention. He's an awesome person and I learned a lot. I would take him again for sure.

He is an amazing teacher! He gets very excited about the topics that interest him the most. You can also tell what will be on the text because he talks louder and also says it multiple times. He was probably my favorite professor so far at Gannon.

He goes way too fast. He doesn't use any visual techniques. It's very hard to learn in his class because he talks so fast and hardly repeats himself. He doesn't put grades online, you keep track. You have to mentally prepare yourself. And don't worry if you get a bad grade on a test, usually the class average is a D anyways. He's not helpful!!!!!!

I went into this class expecting a fairly easy A, though that wasn't the case. If you look over the notes then you'll do well on tests- if not this class is going to be tough for a theology course.

All you have to do is take good notes and study them. This class was an easy A. You don't want to zone out for even a second though because he goes through his lectures very quickly in order to squeeze as much information as possible into one class. Often opens up for floor for your opinions. Overall: fun, interesting, and entertaining class.

Giles is AWESOME!!! I HIGHL recommend him for Sacred Scripture. He knows what he's talking about, and he's able to repeat something if you didn't catch it or don't understand something.

He BARELY changes test questions each semester so find someone who took it the semester before you and get all of their quizzes from them because he lets the students keep them! If not then study your notes and hope for a B+ at best, some of the questions come out of nowhere.
