Very nice guy, but actually surprised how many people think hes an excellent teacher. Hes VERY smart on the subject matter, but his teaching style is confusing. Lecture notes dont seem to answer any of the course objectives posted. Uses a lot of diagrams that seem like gibberish. Spits out complicated info then says its not relevant for this course

Terry is a great prof. He has extensive knowledge of genetics which is nice that he knows his stuff. He does have a different teaching style, in that his notes only have a lot of explanation if you are writing down everything that he says. but he makes himself more than available and is always ready to help.

Terry is awesome! He is really funny, interesting, and he cares about his students' success. His exams were very fair, he had clear expectations and he was very helpful and engaging in office hours. Would definitely take him again.

Terry was easily the best professor I have ever had. I had him for Bio220 and Bio309 and would love to take more courses with him. His tests are fair and his lectures are interesting and engaging. Terry is funny, caring, and incredibly intelligent. He really cares about his students and takes the time to help and answer questions outside of class.

Terry's teaching is to write out point form notes along with lots of diagrams. His notes tend to explain the bigger picture. If you want more detailed content then refer to the textbook. His midterm and final are very fair. He makes sure that students have enough time to write them because he cares about their success, which makes him a good prof!

He is the best biology prof there is! He is really experienced and has funny jokes. He loves to tell stories of his time researching and teaching. He cares about students a great deal. Every university needs a prof like Terry!!

Terry is a great prof and I really enjoyed his lectures. If you don't put in the effort you won't get a good grade. He never talks about the text but make sure to read it and make your own set of notes. In lectures he focuses on the larger concepts so any questions that are detail oriented will come from question sets he posts or course objectives

Terry's a good guy, learned most of the material from reading the textbook however. He only really has one way of explaining things and if you don't get something you're going to have to go to the textbook. With that being said the class is a regular class and with a regular amount of studying you can expect a B-/B

This guy is awesome!! He really cares for his students and wants them to succeed. He gives you practice assignments before midterms which give you a good outline of the exam. He is easy to approach and super helpful. If you're willing to study the material you should have no problem.

Terry is an amazing prof! I've had him for Genetics and Microbiology. He handwrites his notes so attending class is a must. You can tell he is passionate about what he is teaching and really cares about his students doing well. Exams are fairly easy, study notes with some help from the text book and you will excel in his class.

Terry is an upper level prof. He often talks about things that we don't need to know at our level and his notes are extremely vague and uninformative. His midterm and quizzes are pretty tricky so make sure you study well and read the textbook. The lecture was kind of pointless, and I had to do a lot of self-teaching, so be prepared for that.

Terry is super helpful, he explains things in very simple terms and his labs are really great. His notes use a lot of pictures and sometimes it's hard to decipher them later. Don't just copy down what he writes, add extra notes or it'll look like gibberish later!

If you ask him a question, you can expect a thorough answer back as he definitely knows his material. He's an incredibly friendly guy and he's always willing to help. Hands down my favourite professor at UFV! Tests are insanely easy, fair marker and explains all concepts well. Knows the material inside and out. Ask him any question and he knows the answer. Would most definitely take him again. Supplement his notes with your own notes and you will be rocking!

as an arts student taking biology was extremely scary, so i took it online hoping it would be easier. before an exam terry told me he makes it easier for those who take it online because he understands our situation. terry was such a nice guy, fast marker, very encouraging. one prof i will never forget

Terry has been my favourite prof so far. His classes are fun, his tests are fairly easy (depending on how much you study!), and he doesn't give a lot of homework. Despite that, it's one of the only science classes that I still remember anything from. Way to go Terry!
