This class was super easy. There is a paper due every week but it's just a reflection of a topic. Only 3 exams and they are pretty short. Reinforces information you learned from other classes. Would recommend with Irene.

This class is a joke; super low expectations. Don't buy the book, you don't even have to go to class unless you want the attendance points (just do the assignments, she'll give you full points on those).The tests are terrible though. They aren't hard but you don't talk about half the stuff on there or it's worded in a way that makes zero sense.

Irene is a great teacher. Just do what you are asked as far as assignments go, you don't have to put a ton of work into them. Just make sure you DO them. And pay attention in class, you wont even need to study for the exams if youdo.

Irene is generally a good professor. She genuinely wants you to learn the material and know what you're talking about, which I appreciate. Exams aren't difficult (essays are right off the study guide) and she's fairly flexible when it comes to problems. Classes themselves are boring - bring your laptop and just kill time.

Irene is a great prof. Class wasnt too difficult, 3 exams consist of a few short answer and multiple choice. Class req attending a community meeting, its not as bad as it sounds go to the meeting where she is on the board. 2nd week you do a summary about a aspect of the Healthy people 2020, which is simple. you need to read the chapters tho!!

Lectures are boring. She goes over the powerpoints and sometimes adds random info throughout. Have online quizzes every two weeks over the lecture. The GA puts one or two questions on it about a book or youtube video Dr. O discussed in class to make sure you went. Otherwise you'll get it wrong. Projects are way more work than necessary.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. the projects are just ridiculous. more work than all my classes put together... and I am a business major. shes unclear about what she wants on projects and then gives you a failing grade if you do not have scholarly sources. she acts like her class is the only class you are taking. dumbest class i have ever taken. only reason i did was because i was 1 credit shy of graduating. you pay 100s of dollars to sit around coloring, meditating, and watching youtube videos. she gave me a 0 on a paper because it was not stapled and she apparently could decipher the order of my pages without them being numbered.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! The projects are ridiculous. She's not really clear what research she wants from them, and then you follow all the directions for them and you fail it? It's ridiculous. It's more work than my 300 level classes. Seriously, everyone raves about this class and teacher on here and I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT.

Dr. O is awesome easiest A i have had at cmu in my 3 yrs. Attendence isnt worth much, the 2 projects r a peice of cake as long as u follow the directions u will get 100% on them, she lets u take the exams online which makes it way easier. TAKE DR. O she is awesome!!!!

This class is really common sense material and really a waste of your money, but I took it as a UP course and its an easy A. Lectures are really boring and I just want to get out of there everyday. Also has teaching assistants and when they teach, its annoying too. You get SOOO much extra credit opportunities. Class is really easy. 2 projects.

I hated this class! (HSC 106) It was so boring and I learned nothing. I didn't even bring anything to class besides the $20 "clickers" we needed. This class was interesting and attendance was mandatory but it's only 5 points. I don't thinks she's fair in some aspects and sometimes has an attitude. The tests and projects aren't hard but they are very, very time consuming. She isn't hard, but really annoying.

If you're looking for an easy A then take her. Lectures and annoying, mostly she just rambles about her personal life and reads off slides. Very little effort is required for an A though. She is not understanding at all and she is pretty rude. Exam questions are worded oddly sometimes. I would not recommend her if you are looking to learn.
