Although the textbook was outdated and useless, she is a nice person who genuinely loves Japanese culture. If you are serious about studying Japanese she's an okay prof. However, her class can be VERY disorganized and vague. You have to really know your Japanese history because if you don't you will find the tests difficult!

She is a great prof and a super nice lady! I really hope she teaches the Japanese literature courses she was talking about. Classes were always interesting, I enjoyed working on the project she assigned, and the mid-term and final were not difficult if you knew your stuff. Overall a fantastic prof!!

She is one of the best professors I've had. She is friendly, respectful and open to different inturpretations. Her organization is sometimes difficult, but the text helps keep the class centered. She is the best prof to get help from outside of class. I would recommend her to anyone!

this was the worst class that i have taken. i worked my SOOOO HARD the entire semester and it sure didnt show in my mark! this is supposed to be a religious studies class, NOT ENGLISH! dont recommend this prof! she was VERY UNAPPROACHABLE about marks!
