She was amazing! She's very laid back and easy going. Sit down and talk to her sometime, she's a very interesting person. She's very understanding and flexible with assignments or readings, but wants you to put in the time and love into your work.

Strict attendance policy. Amazing lectures that transfer over into real-world scenarios. You gain real-world knowledge from this class. Her papers are very open-ended and long so they are a bit difficult but if you read and are able to form and support your opinions, you will be fine. Amazing person overall.

One of the best Professors I've ever had. I thought Native American Literature was going to be a dry class, but she made it one of the best experiences I've ever had. Truly eye opening.

I enjoyed this class, but this class is a little different from most English courses, which i liked. The class is discussion oriented, but Theresa also related the stuff we read to creative writing techniques. she is big on creativity. We had 6 papers total, 2 for final; If you show up, read the stories,&pay attention, it's not hard to get an A.

Professor Williams assigns tedious, time-consuming homework, as well as long papers that have no clear instructions. She is blunt about who her favorite students are. She gave an hour-long lecture about how one student's paper was better than the others. She is willing to listen to students' interpretations of the texts but is quick to argue.

She is amazing, kind and sweet. She has a passion for lit and great stories. For her Native Lit Class, there are 7 books for the class but very affordable(only spent $40-ish total). We do jump around from book to book, but it is easy to catch on. Great Teacher, take he class

Theresa is an unbelievable writer and creative writing teacher! She is very enthusiastic and shows an appreciation for every student's writing! If you love writing for fun and using literature to express yourself, definitely take this class with her! I wish I could have her in more classes!

Comment:

Fiction Workshop was both challenging and enjoyable. Taking criticism from others can be difficult, but the classroom environment is friendly and helpful. Theresa does wonderfully in guiding the discussions to be more about the work at hand and not so much on the writer. The advice is helpful, not hurtful. A pleasure to take - highly recommend!

It was challenging to follow along in the class what exactly was going on. The assignments were relatively useless. But Theresa appreciates any and all effort and is ready to help IF YOU ASK FOR IT. The final is a bit of a pain as well, in terms of studying for and taking the actual exam.
