I took the U-course combo with Anth 113. The class has lots of work but they grade really leniently if you truly give an effort. I didn't like the structure of the U-course but it makes it really easy to get help and be successful. There is plenty of extra credit if you need it too. Thia is available and wants you to succeed.

LOTS OF READING - but don't worry it's fun. You read Fairy Tales and kids stories but you HAVE to read. Tests are on Web CT - open book - work in groups in class. Weekly discussions on webct - just stay up with the work and it's an easy A - it's really fun, too :o)

Thia is so nice and willing to help anyone! She's always willing to compromise with the class and change a test date if the class throws a fit. Even though the class is now half internet and really annoying, she understnads computer problems and is very patient with all her student's problems with this. Focuses a lot on fairy tales but its fun.

GREAT CLASS, and she taught the material very well. She was there if you needed any help and she REALLY wanted people to pass her class. There is a bit of reading required, but most are fairtales and poetry. I LOVED THIS CLASS AND SHE WAS A GREAT TEACHER! Highly recomended!

I would recommend Thia's classes to anyone. Interesting material in class regarding papers and assignments, but she's very clear and is just out to help anyone and everyone who goes to class and tries. Always willing to help students (whether at office hours or to meet like in the library).
