If you want an easy grade taking Dunn isn't a terrible idea but if you really want to learn the material you might as well read the book. His tests are online and extremely hard. If you have the integrity not to look up the answers your grade will suffer, while cheaters prosper.

His tests may be tough but as long as you follow along with the lecture notes and read for just his notes in class you'll do just fine! He is a great speaker and its always fun to ask his opinions on questions. His curves are usually pretty good so that helps a bunch! Definitely worth it and its recommended!

I love Dr. Dunn. By far my favorite professor at UNC. He is hilarious, very knowledgeable, and is a clinical psychologist himself, so he gives plenty of (crazy) real world examples. I would recommend him for any class he offers. I am on my 3rd class with him and plan to take more.

Comment:

I HATE Statistics, and had to take it for my major. I was nervous, but he was superb. He answered any and all questions I had very quickly. Even though it was an online class, he took the time to get to know me through email, and it was his class I enjoyed the most. Powerpoints are HILARIOUS and made "for dummies". He is amazing. Strongly recommend

He is a very funny prof that explains things well but the tests can be pretty hard. However each test is graded with a curve so you will always get at least a letter grade up from what it says online. Oh yeah all the tests are online with a 75 minute time limit.

Professor Dunn is probably the most helpful, clearest, and interesting professor I've ever had. Very thorough and approachable, I don't think I would have done as well in stats taking someone else, I love the way he teaches. He's also very witty, makes 8ams fun to go to. Awesome guy.

He is a great guy, but he teaches by adding to his powerpoints as we go. I was afraid he wasn't teaching my class the same info he was teaching the other class, and so when the test came, I never felt entirely prepared. His tests are online, and each test is worth more points than the last, making it hard to get a good grade if you do bad on 1 test

Dr. Dunn is a very intelligent, interesting and exciting teacher. He makes the material fun to learn; he explains everything very well and if you have any questions he is more than willing to further explain any material you are confused on. His tests are very hard, but don't let it scare you away! You learn a lot and the difficulty is worth it :)

I have had Dunn for clinical, physio, and psychopharm. He is a great teacher, but his tests are no walk in the park. Expect to do a lot of readings. His tests are mostly essay questions. Depends on the class how much he uses the book..for physio you MUST buy the book. He is a great guy, funny, easy to talk to. Overall awesome, even w. hard tests!

I took many classes with Dunn and he is a great guy. He is a hard teacher but with him, you want to work hard. He is very helpful and will challenge you to do more than just accept fact. He is a wonderful dude, take classes from him!! Hilarious as well.

Honestly this is one of my favorite classes that I have ever taken. Dunn is an amazing lecturer and very easy to talk to. I recommend everyone take him, and physio, even if you are not a psy major. I learned a lot and actually enjoyed the material.

I have had Dunn for 3 classes now...and that is a great thing! Although all of his classes are jam packed full of material and readings he teaches in a way that is extremely approachable, easy to understand, and welcoming. I have never had another professor who is so interesting to listen to and his passion shines in every lecture. A brilliant man!

Dr. Dunn is the most fantastic professor I have had in a long time. He spoon-fed my stats class, and is one of the most interesting professors i've ever met! DON'T MISS CLASS...attendence is mandatory to success in class. Allow's no b.s., will kick your butt, but its totally worth it!
