Bonnell is a super great guy and professor. He knows his stuff and is passionate about literature and encourages dialogue. Not to mention, he's easy on the eyes. His grading rubrics and assignment are very vague - take that how you will.

Take his W class! Brilliant, charming, hot and one of the best professors teaching at SMC. He's not a hard grader but make sure to do your reading (which is a lot) or he WILL call you out in discussions. The essay topics are easy to understand and he's always around if you need any help. He will look at only one essay draft before turning it in.

Had his "Sorcery & Damnation" class & "Classical Rhetoric" class. Rhetoric wasn't my favorite season, but "Sorcery" is amazing! He is so clearly passionate about his work and will go the extra mile to make sure you understand and even enjoy his courses! I highly reccommend him!

so, i took his sorcery and damnation class my freshman year and it was filled with upper classmen. however, he's such an awesome teacher. i came out with an A and i didn't feel like i had to exert myself. also, i'm taking his script and stage class right now and it's completely fine. i try to take all of his classes. seriously take his class.

Okay, so here's the deal. He's a really nice teacher and obviously enjoys what he is teaching. However his classes are snoozers. Be prepared to read at least 60+ pages a night even on days when papers are due, and prepare to discuss every time. Papers do not have prompts, as well. Take only if you like ENLT.

Fantastic Prof. I first took his "sorcery and damnation" class because it sounded cool. Then, I was hooked. I took "Script and Stage". I had absolutely zero interest in the class, and only took it because I felt he was a phenomenal teacher. I highly encourage anyone to take his class. It's worth it.

Brilliant, sensitive, funny, AND hot, to boot. Ladies, this is the PERFECT professor. Script and Stage--Restoration theatre. If he offers it again, TAKE IT! BEST CLASS EVER. He knows his stuff and did I mention he's hot?
