I've had numerous professors over the two colleges I have attended and he is by far the worst. If you're considering Biology as a major, wait until he leaves Brockport or simply apply to a different school. This is not an exaggeration.

everyone whos says he is a horrible professor just needs to start studying, he trys to make this class as easy as possible and he is always ready to help. and if u dont get a good gradee in this class its not because he is a bad professor its because the class is very hard

Found the class very interesting. Dr. Bonner is not Difficult, but the material in Bio 201 is not easy. You have to work at it, try a bit, study hard & you will get an A. This isn't H.S. any more, this is COLLEGE! I would recommend this course to any science major :)

Hes a horrible professor, but there is no avoiding him for Bio 201. I don't know of anyone who got more than a C in his class on the first try. Its killed my GPA. His tests are completely random, and while reading the questions you feel like you never learned the material. What's worse is that he doesn't even use the book so you can use it to study

this guy just pissed people off, and it sucks bc he is the only 1 who teaches this class. most ppl in that class r retaking it. very hard grader, if you dont put exactly wat he says, he'll mark it wrong. dont think that your labs will bring up ur grade bc it won't by very much. very hard teacher!

Bonner was very hard. His tests were schizophrenic, in that they would be short answer one test, multiple choice the next, and a mix another...Never knoew what to expect. I went to every study session that was held, read the book, took notes and barely eeked out a B...Not for the faint of heart, or someone looking for an easy A.

Stay away...the grade I got in this class hurt my GPA so badly...it was so hard, and despite studying I did horribly! He wasn't very approachable for help and his tests were ridiculously hard considering what he covered in class was very basic. I am sure he is very smart...but not a good teacher.

This class is very unorganized and the grading is so unfair. The teaching assistants are given way too much control over our grades, considering they do not know much. I had Raysha Crawford and she was so clueless whenever I asked her any question. Yet, she was the one grading our quizzes, essay exam questions and the lab component. Nightmare!

I liked Dr. Bonner as a teacher, however he is pretty unapproachable when you need help and his tests are completely out of this world hard!!! You need to study like 15 hours a week to get a B in this class!

Dr. Bonner is awesome! He's like the funny grandpa you wish you had. He tells stories and has analogies that help understand topics. If you have a decent intelligence in biology and want to put in work, then you will do well. Don't come in as a freshman and expect a good grade by whining or crying.

heartless: the most offensive teacher I have ever had. He singles out students who are religious and basically tells them they are wrong and evolution is right. He told us our only purpose on life is to reproduce and if we dont then we are worthless. I hate his class so much that I am changing my major and school.

Avoid this profesor if you can. His tests and quizzes are VERY hard. He actually gave our class a test with 50 questions missing, got the questions e-mailed to him in the middle of class and projected them VERY SLOWLY on the board. Therefore it took 10 minutes to do every 4 questions and we couldn't look back to double check our answers.. awful.

Nice guy. Tells funny stories. Bad professor. Even if you read the book, the material is hard to understand, and his tests are impossible. He gives multiple choice tests with trick questions (a and b are correct, all of the above, none of the above, etc.) Many of the test questions were not covered beforehand. Avoid him if you can.

I LOVED Dr. Bonner, I thought he did the best he could to help the class as a whole do successful on his tests. He reviews really good for his tests as well. The one piece of advice I would give, is to read the chapters-all of them. It's really helpful.
