I would definitely take this class again! Often relates pieces we study on a personal level. Very understanding. Appreciates perfect attendance, and will ignore occasional lateness if you check in with him. The class is all lecture, and a quiz every other class. Reading is necessary. Students grade each others quizzes. Several extra credit options

Professor Cooper is really nice. The class itself can be really boring but if you have to take it, take it with Cooper. He knows what he's talking about. He gives a 10 question multiple choice quiz every week and if you listen in class and skim the book you'll do fine. He gives a lot of extra credit to make up for low grades.

Professor Cooper is a wonderful professor, and a fascinating man. His class is a challenge, but only for the fact you have to study, and actually read the material. The material though is quite interesting. Professor Cooper gives every student a chance to make up grades with extra credit. His class was a terrific experience!

Loved his class took both 118 and 119. He's about to retire though so take his class fast! He definately knows what he's talking about when it comes to art. <3 Although, if you are not interested in just lectures then it might not be the right class for you.

i absolutely hated this class. it was so boring and although i give the guy props for knowing his stuff and enjoying teaching it, i hated listening to it. he likes to listen to himself talk and go off on stupid info you dont need to know. also, as the semester went on, each chapter took longer and longer to finish. roman art is going on 3 weeks...

Professor Cooper is awesome! He is such a kind and helpful man. His quizzes are easy as long as you pay attention to the slides presented in class and do the readings. 1 paper all semester and possible extra credit. Definatly recommend!

What a cool dude. He has gone everywhere in the world and will take you too! The class is taught in the coolest little lecture hall with all the lights off..you think you would want to sleep but he tells such good stories. Quizzes every chapter with a paper and lots of room 4 x-tra credit. Cool class!!!

Yeah - he's old, but he loves what he teaches. Many of his slides are pictures that he has taken himself while traveling, so he knows his stuff. Don't take this in the morning if you tend to sleep in class. His quizes are tricky, but lots of opportunity for extra credit, just take the extra step.
