Awesome professor! Tells a lot of stories about his experiences in the war, in the CIA, and as a psychologist. Extremely interesting course, I would definitely recommend! He gives you a textbook that you can use for the open bookopen note quizzes.

Dr. Evans is the best professor that I have ever had. He uses carefully selected examples of issues in lecture that provided us with a very deep understanding of the theoretical points being examined. Evans is not an easy grader, but I would go out my way to take him for any course at JCU.

Dr. Evans so awesomely weird, definitely take him for Psych 101. All of the exams are based on the book and nothing he says in class. Go to class though because he tells amazing stories about his insane life and you will get participation points for attendance. Great man!

Awesome guy!! Tells interesting and personal stories that are relevant to the material learned. Cancels and shortens class a lot. Rarely takes attendence. 4 short, multiple choice tests with information all out of the book. You need to read the chapters and take the tests in the back to do well. Super interesting. Should take Evans!

This guy is truly awesome. I didnt go to class for much of the semester because attendance isnt mandatory but i still recommend you go anyway. his stories about his old CIA days were so entertaining and the tests are really easy if you just take the night before to read. the dude is a badass. favorite professor at JCU thus far. MUST TAKE

On top of being a complete badass, the guy is a great lecturer. Basically tells stories about his experiences in the CIA and stuff during class. Tests are purely based on reading from the book, so as long as you read the necessary chapters the week or so before the exam, you're golden.

DEFINITELY my favorite professor at JCU. He has the best stories ever. His tests can be kind of hard if you don't study. His intro class was slightly difficult, but Violence and Aggression was awesome. It's strictly elective so I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. He seems kind of like he would be hard to approach but he's not at all.

Doctor Evans is hilarious. You totally don't have to go to class, but it's worth it to go just to hear his insane stories. According to him, he was in the CIA, a psychologist to WWE, a hostage negotiator, park ranger, cop, and a marine. Haha his stories are crazy! But as long as you read the chapter, tests are easy.

He's not the type that lectures or gives a power point of the notes. He mostly tells stories about how psychology applies to life. Attendance is not mandatory and tests are based completely on the text. Learn the boldface terms and the learning objectives and you'll get a good grade.

This dude is sweet! His stories are legendary although he can be a bit monotone. I went to every class as should you just to hear them! Dont take any notes, but read the book and memorize the terms (sometimes there's a lot). 4 tests including final. no papers. tests are right out of the book. Take him and go to class!!!

This guy is great. Four multiple choice exams graded on a curb- thats it. Just know the terms for each chapter and you should be fine. He doesn't take attendance either, but if you do choose to go to class, you'll undoubtedly hear some of the most interesting stories you could ever imagine hearing in a college classroom.
