Very very difficult & expects you to put his class before all others. I'm an A student & I STILL had to start studying 5 days in advance for his tests. He is not very helpful and in fact makes you feel very ignorant during class. I definitely would NOT recommend him.

He is an okay teacher, just lectures from the book, his tests are multiple choice and then an essay or two, and they aren't easy, you have to read the chapter really well and take notes to do well. Reading the text and taking notes though will probably only get you a B unless you really study hard.

To all the ppl who said, "if you work hard you'll do fine"... ummm... no. I consider myself a hard worker and good student & I did terrible. Class was ok, but the tests were terrible. There is so much to know & you have no idea what the test might be on. Unless you're one of his favorits you will not do will. Get ready for your GPA to take a blow.

Ok, if you should read one rating its mine- after having him for another class as well, i can say soc with him was very difficult- mult. choice and essay tests- they're very hard, tough grader, not clear on what to study, good intentions, but class was very boring, info in book was tedious to learn.

I knew to avoid this guy and still got stuck with him. He's extremely difficult and downright patronizing, especially to women. He seemed to crack down even harder on the class since our original teacher's lesson plan apparently wasn't up to snuff.

hmmm... unlike the other people, i liked him. he's very insightful and wants to help you excel. he also likes you a lot if you say your own thoughts and contribute to discussions. some of his tangeants are interesting too. not your average blow-off fys.

Avoid this class at all costs. He has a VERY thick Indian accent so you can't understand a thing he says. Also, he says the word "alright" after every word which is SO annoying. Every class is a boring lecture. DON'T TAKE HIM!

He is the worst teacher ever. If you don't come to class he will call you. "Don't Blow this off", you'll hear that a million times. Worst FYS teacher around,if you have him, God have mercy on your soul.
