Great guy, great professor, but a hard class. Only 4 quizzes, 4 tests, an essay, and an optional final, but they aren't easy by any means. The only study guides are for the essay questions on the tests. You have to be at class to get the notes, because that's your only resource for the tests and quizzes. You really have to work for your grade.

He's a great guy and a great professor, but it is a hard class. The tests are like 70% of your grade, but your only grades are 4 tests, 4 quizzes, an essay, and an optional final. Show up to class to get the notes you need. It's a hard class, and you have to work for your grade, but you should be fine as long as you go to class.

He is an AMAZING professor. His lectures are interesting and you can tell he loves teaching ethics. The class is an easy A, as long as you pay attention and study for the tests. I would definitely take him again if I needed more philosophy classes.

This class is honestly easy to pass with a little memorization. And make sure you know how to spell the names of the philosophers/their theories. He will take off points if you are more than a letter off.

Since he doesn't use powerpoint, you have to attend class to get notes. I think that's a good thing though. I wasn't really interested in Ethics until after his class. While the lectures were a little long, he obviously is passionate about the subject and is willing to go above and beyond to help you understand. He's a great professor!

Mr. Kennedy is a great instructor. His class is very interesting. He teaches in a creative way making you think. I loved this class; it exposed me to ideas I would not have thought of on my own. After taking his class I would love to take more philosophy courses. Take him if you have the opportunity.

Great professor. Each class was interesting and funny, and it's easy to earn an A or an A+ if you attend class, take notes and review them, and study the study guide. You will barely use the book. The tests have essays, but they are on the study guide. The only other grades are 4 short quizzes, an essay, and an (optional) final. Two thumbs up!

Mr. Kennedy was my favorite teacher! His class is pretty much a breeze if you attend all classes and review before quizzes and tests. His lectures are interesting, and his study guides are helpful. I didn't use my book at all. Just take good notes. The final is optional. Great class and even better teacher!

Makes the subject as interesting as possible. Very dry sense of humor that requires some understanding of the subject to get.

Tom is an amazingly intelligent professor who has the perfect amount of genius, geek, and humor. As long as you go to class and take notes, you'll be fine. Make sure to write down EVERYTHING he writes down. Also, he gives you a study guide with the exact questions and answers. Better yet, his final was optional. Great class.

I was NOT a Phil fan but after sccidentally for fun trying one of his Phil I took another with him, he makes it fun, understandable and well I can't say enough positive things about him. He is not what I'd call easy but you can make an A if you do the work...still think about some concepts he taught which says alot seeing as it's not my major!

Professor Kennedy was great, his tests aren't bad as long as you take notes and show up for class. He gives you a lot of hints for the test, and a study guide for the essays, and all his test/quiz material comes from the notes he puts on the board. He makes the class easy enough, you hae to try to fail. Overall, easy class, great professor.

He is a really amazing teacher, I took 2 philo classes in highschool so his class was alot of review for me but he kept it exciting and energetic so I was not bored. Tests are tough but fair, he gives alot of hints during his lectures about the test. I used the book twice. great prof.

Amazing professor...by far one of the best i've ever had at IUS. The textbook was basically unnecessary as he gives amazing study guides and makes note taking easy by writing on the board a lot. His test do have essays, however, he gives you the questions and answers in advance on his study guide.

He was really funny and witty. The only problem was there wasn't much discussion generated in his class. He gives out study guides before tests and they are very helpful. The textbook wasn't very useful cuz it was like a novel but his notes are. Overall I'd say you take him because he's quite a character!
