Tom was my mentor. I went back to University in my 40's and Tom and I had a great relationship. He truly cares about the students and affords every outlet for them to learn and grow. Tom is and always will be my favorite Professor and one of the gentlest souls that will grace the soil of this planet.

I love this teacher. My only problem is the amount of work. While I could have done it easily, I just didn't have time to finish my work because of other classes. He's super nice but sometimes has problems explaining things completely. Him and Lance (Tool guy) make a great team and they are both great teachers. I highly recommend him.

tom is a good professor and has a real passion for sculpture. he kinda sucks at explaining things at times and there is A LOT of work to do in this class, but as long as you put in the effort then theres no reason you should do badly. also, you are expected to spend a certain amount of time outside class time. i recommend tom, hes very fair...

Tom is an excellent instructor. He has a genuine passion for his art and conveys that passion to his students. The assignments do take a lot of a student's personal time, but that is because there is a lot to accomplish in such a short period. I have learned and retained an incredible amount of information in reference to sculpture. Two thumbs up!

Tom is an awesome teacher. And for the people that say that he sucks because he makes you work, well get over yourselves because I'm sorry to say, that is what college is about, especially if you are an art major. So, if you are complaining about having to work, maybe you should pick a new major.

In general, he's a great professor! He knows his stuff and explains it well. The class however, is extremely time consuming! He dosn't grade easily so, you must be willing to put in the time!

Excellent teacher. Be prepared to both work hard and learn alot. He is willing to take you far in you artistic endeavors if you are willing to put in the effort. He allows room for the student's creativity. He is also an excellent artist.

Arrogant pompus windbag. Made art NOT fun. We used methods and ideals that are taught in High School...this is College. Also OSHA would love to get their grip on this guy. I would avoid him if possible. If not, prepare to have no life what-so-ever.
