I've taken 3 of his classes just because I know I can get an A. Basically, if he knows your name, you're golden. If you can put up with his random stories that have to do with nothing, and his little giggling, then take his classes. Just be prepared to learn absolutely nothing.

I'm sick of people misunderstanding were Malcolm is coming from. He is a great man who actively seeks to have relationships with the students. He is one of, if not the longest standing profs at APU. This gives him insight and perspective that most lack. This is college people, if you want to know something you need to take responsibility. Amen

I think Malcolm gets a really bad rep, and granted his classes may not be the most challenging ones. However, you do need to study for his tests, as they are not cake, and you learn this way. Also, he is a very nice and understanding man with a sense of humor, and honestly, who doesn't need to balance a tough work-load with an easier class?

He was really nice and really easy. Do the self-assesments from the book and then highlight the book as he reads the powerpoint slides and just know the study guide. Dry, boring, but easy.

He has tenure, which means he has been at APU long enough that he simply can't be fired....and it shows....seems to have little preparation for class because he uses powerpoints from the books' cd-rom, never hands back assignments because he simply does not read them. Avoid if you want to learn even a little bit.

I've had Malcolm for a lot of classes, and his classes are cake. The final is usually a take home, and he has four or five scantron tests during the semester. The tests can be tricky, but they're not if you study. A lot of people either really like Malcolm or hate him, but he's a nice guy and his classes are an easy A.

Malcolm is a very pleasant person, however the class did start off quite slow and sometimes does not feel like you are learning very much. At first, this class feels like you are not learning anything new--simply reviewing General Psychology for the nth time! If possible, I would suggest taking a more challenging professor to maximize your $50/hr!

Malcolm's class is the easiest thing ive taken here.. hes a really nice guy and the course material can be interesting if you make the effort to learn it on your own, but from him- you wont get much.. dry corny sense of humor can be entertaining though when its early in the morning

I unfortunately had to take the psych of learning with him. Tests are ridiculous- have stupid analogies that make no sense. On the plus side, make-up tests are allowed and you could probably sleep through the class and still pass.

As is well established, Malcolm is not a goof prof and he proved this again in this course. A MWF class at 8:20, I would occasionally not show up until a good 20 minutes had passed and the man would have JUST started taking roll...an incredible waste of time (though great for a little more beauty sleep). As previously noted...avoid if you can!

Although I'm not a fan of his teaching style, he is very educated about the subject. He really does care about students, if you don't get something, then take responsibility and ASK!! Do the reading and study guides so you pass.
