Professor Thomas is very chill, his class can be boring at times due to his over talkative lectures, but he knows a lot about the industry. Theres only 3 exams in the class and he gives tons of extra credit, which helps a lot.

He is cool dude, simple and very straight forward with what he wants you to do. There were quizzes, but all were very simple test as well. Had one presentation(pitch) but he makes you feel very comfortable if your a shy presenter.

Here is a very appreciated professor. I feel honored to be in his class. If you get a chance Take him Immediately! He will help you with structure. He is accessible than any other professor I have dealt with in that school. He shows great examples. By far he is someone who you can trust with your story and ideas. More professors should be like him.

Professor McWilliams genuinely cares about his students succeeding in the entertainment world after graduation. He is VERY honest when working with you to review your work and will sit with you to make sure you get the concepts and produce a great final script! A phenomenal professor but by no means an Easy A! You have to REALLY want it! 10/10! :)

A decent professor. He knows a lot about the history of broadcasting and if you have any questions about the material, he'll answer them. Definitely uses the assigned books. Has a lot of EC opportunities, has 3 tests with MC and matching questions. There's quizlets for the tests as well. So that's one way to do well on the tests if you don't study.

There are 3 tests. Just 3 and thats your grade. He isnt a hard teacher, theres just a LOT of lecture material. I didnt show up to the class too often and still got an A because i studied. I never got the TOP book but you NEED the green history of broadcasting book. Most test marterial is from there and non graded quizzes.

Professor Mcwilliams is a nice professor. Although his lectures are heavy and extremely hard to bare, he tries to make them funny and bearable. One reader and one text required for the class. Lot of readings. There are 3 exams, each worth 33.33%. DON'T miss the Extra credit opportunity.

Professor McWilliams' class was fun to take. He's very understanding and gives great feedback for your work. First half of the semester was learning the mechanics/structure of screenplay formatting while the second half was dedicated to finalizing your 45-60 page script. Also there wasn't a final, you just had to submit your final draft.

Professor McWilliams is always looking for his students to succeed. He understands that we are students in college with lives and other things to worry about other than this class. With that being said, your grade is only based on 3 exams. I did enjoy the material I learned and I am thankful that Prof McWilliams shares his experiences!

His lectures can be boring after about the third class meeting. May or may not be his fault because it's a lot of information to cover. He's a nice guy though, very knowledgeable and gives plenty of extra credit opportunities (tv screenings), which help if you don't do well on the tests. There are only 3 tests, no homework, just lots of reading.

Fantastic professor. Cares for his students and gives a lot of homework that ultimately helps you with your final project wich is a final script. Not hard but be aware that the professor is a great resource for lots of insights into the medium of cinema and television. The textbook is pretty neat, still expensive, but really needed at first.

He cares about his students and the class is straight forward. You read the assigned readings and you will pass the quizzes. Get ready to write it is a screenwriting class. The text book is very useful keep it! There is no final just a final script 30 pages. His lectures are interesting also he's really a great professor! I highly recommend him.

McWilliams is great! He's really nice and I think his lectures are interesting, although it's hard to sit still for so long. It's actually nice that the grade is only based on three exams bc you don't have to worry about papers. Just study the weekly quizzes he hands out. The extra credit tapings can help you a lot!

He's laid back but lectures need structure. It's graded entirely on 3 tests which are 100 true/false questions with the occasional multiple choice. It's hard to do well on his tests since his lectures can be dull and all over the place. That's why he gives a lot of room for extra credit: attend ALL the tapings & write the paper and you'll be fine.

Highly recommend you attend the extra credit screenings, if you're able to. His lectures are dreadful and he makes you read the material. For a while he would only feature true/false questions on exams until he eventually added some multiple choice. Huge curve thrown our ways for grades. Otherwise, everyone would fail! Find a buddy to study with :D

This professor is extremely knowledgable and makes the material very interesting. He is quick at responding emails and gives very good feedback. It is not an easy A but the class is so much fun that you actually want to do the assignments. I truly loved this professor and would recommend him to anyone.

This is a screenwriting class, creative writing isn't easy whether you're good or bad, so it's up to you, but he makes sure you have certain parts of your story set, so you're not so unsure about things. You're expected to write 3 acts in 60 pages, the homework, the book, and the teacher are both helpful in at least creating a blueprint.

McWilliams is a good teacher. I am not a screenwriter, yet the class was fun and interesting. You will have homework basically every week. You will have quizzes based off the lectures and book. The midterm is based off the quizzes and other material. The final is a 30 page script. He mainly focuses on format and structure. Be sure to revise.

He is a good professor, just a bit dry (teaching wise). 3 exams make up your grade, 100 true or false questions, which are straight out of the easy to read book. I went to maybe half the classes during the semester and got an A just from reading and studying. Extra credit is offered as well. Take him, easy class, easy credit.

McWilliams is a good professor. The 305 class is simple consisting of lectures and 3 exams. The class can get boring but that's mostly due to the class material. Lots of extra credit opportunities; mostly going to tapings of TV shows. I would take him again.
