He graded on content that was unrelated to the subject matter of the course. (i.e. handwriting) Aspiring economists would be better served by the math department.

The worst ever teacher in my life. He shattered my confidence, he makes you feel like a worthless. Doesn't explain anything in class and wastes whole time on trivial things. Exams are not representative of what he teaches in class. Unfair with grading. Obsessed with his own senseless rules. I am left with the belief that he is simply sadistic.

Dr. Mitchell is a nice guy outside of class, but as an instructor he leaves a lot to be desired. I am a senior in the HistEd program and have a high GPA. He would berate students with bellicose tantrums and then be upset when the students responded negatively. As a future educator, he is definitely not one of my role models. Good Luck.

He was an awful teacher. He was unable to explain the material at all. He graded based on straight lines other than on the concepts taught in class. He was very non-approachable. Overall, it was a terrible experience to be in his class.

Mitchell is rude. I did not like him as a teacher or person at all. He was not helpful during class. Luckily for me there was a tutor that helped my friend and I. Without her I would not have understood anything. He spoonfed the answers on the homework which is nice but it didnt help for the test because the numbers came out of nowhere. good luck

Mitchell was a good professor but his class was the hardest I have ever taken, he is very picky on how he wants the homework done and will take off points if your lines are not straight. But he encourages you to go to office hours for help and he will help you in the office and is eager to help those who go to office hours.

Class was fun and interactive. The "labs" were basically games and trading experiments with others in the room. Somewhat difficult, and missing a day is a really bad thing to do, but I enjoyed the class and learned a lot.

As an econ major on the tail end of my undergrad curriculum i thought taking 113 would be cake... Well Prof Mitchell made me feel like I was taking an art class. Graded very harshly on ability to draw straight and precise lines(Isn't that what excel is for?). Thought he should have graded more on concepts taught and less on artistic ability.

This teacher is quite passive aggressive and sometimes speaks in strange ways. The best was when he said he would "take out" this big tough looking guy because his cell phone went off!

Prof. Mitchell is a wonderful teacher and wants everyone to be successful! He is very prompt about returning homework, inclass assignments and tests. He ads a fun twist to a class that would usually be boring by changing his tone of voice, standing on chairs and yelling to make a point, and yelling at the computer when it doesn't work his way!!!!!
