Fantastic teacher. I would recommend him to anyone. Material is fairly difficult, but he gives non-counting pop quizzes to help understand it. He gives freshman students the essay question before the test. The work is fast-paced, but it isn't bad. The tests come straight from the notes. No additional reading.

I had him for Invitation to Philosophy. He is a pretty good teacher, a little crazy sometimes, but is pretty down to earth. His tests are pretty simple and he reviews everything that will be on it. Overall, I thought Upton was pretty good for intro to philosophy.

By far the easiest teacher I have ever taken. If you show up for ONE class and answer ONE question you have a C. I didn't take 2 of the 4 tests in his class (Mid-Term/Final), simply told him I was working or something, and got a C.
