Unfortunately Dr. Walsh passed away during his teaching of my "Renaissance Lit and Rhetoric" class this fall. He was a very sweet man, and I think other students would agree with me. He was definitely passionate about what he taught. May he rest in peace...

Incredibly sweet, gentle older professor. He is a very fair grader and very passionate about the subject. He is humble and listens, but he also tends to slide into tangents. He once suggested having a class on thanksgiving, and I get the feeling he is very lonely. If you take the class, maybe try to reach out to him because he needs some heart.

Dr. Walsh does have a passion for the subject, but unless you do too, i would not recommend this class. While it is easy, and he doesn't expect too much, the class is SUPER BORING and hard to sit through. He speaks softly and isn't efficient with his class time. 2.5 hours once a week and you have to stay the whole time. Videos are helpful though.

Dr. Walsh is a nice guy who expects little from his students other than showing up to class and doing minimal work. He is very helpful and understands the material he teaches very well. Class does get boring, but video demonstrations of the plays make time go by faster. Really good teacher who wants students to do well.

Dr. Walsh is really smart and caring. He's really approachable and shows genuine interest in his students. he grades fairly and is not difficult. straight to the point. he's pretty funny too. worth getting to know him.

Dr. Walsh is a nice old man who talks too softly and repeats everything he says multiple times. He cares about the class and enjoys the subject. Incredibly boring! If you put in any effort and show up to class you will do just fine.

Walsh was extremely boring to listen to and often put me to sleep. I could never hear or understand what he was saying. He seemed to be all over the place when he explained things. However he seemed like a sweet guy and you could tell he loved shakspeare. Just not very good at teaching it.

A fairly easy class. Dr Walsh is a very nice guy, but boring at times. There are a few papers to write, but they are not bad. I would recommend this class to people have some interest in shakespeare, otherwise it will be very boring. This was not a very time consuming class..I ended up with a b+

Easy, but I took it as one 2.5hr course a week so it was extremely boring. I suggest taking this as MWF only if you are desperate. The teacher is incredibly smart, but just doesn't know how to make things interesting for his students.
