His tests weren't that hard but that also meant no curve. He wasn't nice or helpful and obviously didn't care about his students because he's probably just here to do his research. Boring lectures read straight from his Powerpoint, office hours are useless because he doesn't intend to help you learn.

just 2 midterms and a final. totally screws you with the final. midterms are a piece of cake, final is more tricky than hard. nice lecturer, but when you go talk to him, he's really impatient.

Powerpoint lectures are super boring, but there's no need to take notes. Homework problems that he assigned were nothing like questions on midterms. Not much partial credit. Not a very helpful teacher. But you don't really have a choice now, do you?

his midterms r easy.. but final is super hard!! avg of MTs are 66 n 82!!! high avg is b/c he recycles questions and everybody has old MTs.. grab urself one!! (he will tell u to do so if u ask him abt it) easiness of tests r based on avg.. higher avg = harder tests.. cuz he doesnt like to cruve much

The only good thing about him is that he cracks a few dry jokes in lecture. He's an **** in office hours and he writes completely irrelevant tests, which aren't extremely hard but are graded without partial credit whatsoever. If you had the choice, I'd say skip him.

His lectures were rather boring and I did not find them to be very useful. His midterms were pretty easy, but the common final KILLED me! The difficulty between the midterms and finals was night and day. Ridiculous final. Not really the faultof Dieckmann

Lectures are powerpoint and right from book. Very conceptual in class, yet exams are calculations which he doesn't do in class. Best teaching came at a review session at end of quarter. He curves but doesn't tell you curve until after final so no clue how

Reads off powerpoint like every other chem professor but gives examples in class. He rushes through notes so its hard to learn. Tests are okay...definitely not easy. BORING LECTURES.
