Great. 10/10. Comes off as a hard-ass, but is super awesome. Understands students needs, and furthers their education. He obviously knows what he's doing and loves to do it, making him a tougher professor. Would choose him as a professor again anytime.

Comment:

If you need more 300 level or above classes, this is an easy A. You will learn some international phonetic alphabet (IPA), and be required to speak in front of class. However, you will never be expected to have something memorized. Show up and listen. At times I thought the professor was rude, but overall he is a kind and funny man.

Comment:

Connors is a very understanding professor if you let him know in advance. He always makes accommodations for students when they ask for it. This class is definitely not easy, but if you put in the effort and go to class, you'll end up with a decent grade. Connors definitely wants you to succeed in here. My public speaking has gotten so much better.

I was very surprised by how difficult this class was. I am a TAI major and could not believe that the professor had such unreasonable expectations.

This professor does not set his students up to succeed. His quizzes are insane (like a syllabus quiz that you either receive 20/20 or 0/20). He nitpicks on performances. And is not willing to help students out.

He was an impossible professor. Even though I received an A, the class format was extremely difficult, and frankly, ridiculous. For example, we had a quiz on what each assignment would cover and if the student did not receive a 100% they would get a 0/20. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, chances are you would regret the choice.

Professor Connors is one of my favorite professors! He likes to keep class light and humorous. The course itself is easy as long as you pay attention and make flashcards. He canceled at least 5 classes too. He gives pop quizzes, so while attendance is not mandatory, its in your best interest to attend.

Tim's a great professor and he truly loves what he teaches. Don't be afraid to participate and ask questions. Class was fun and easy- make flashcards of the symbols to study and you'll be fine. Pay attention in class and don't talk to others while he's talking. If you show up late, make sure no one is performing when you come in. Overall great.

Playwriting is a class rarely offered and I was grateful to take it with him. Very educated and fun professor. He is determined to make his students better at whatever field they want to master.

Dr. Connors is one of the best professors at CMU. Anyone who says otherwise is probably someone who does not attend class. Yes, he is a difficult teacher, but if you work for/ want an A in his class, it is very possible. And when you get to know him, hes a very enjoyable and lovely person. If given the opportunity, i would take a class with him. :)

Cool guy. He seems to enjoy theatre quite a lot, and he's not a bad teacher. He does use the book (but in my opinion, it's kind of a novice level acting book- granted, this is just Acting 1) He knows what he needs to know for this class, and he runs the class well. I feel happy to say I did learn a few things by taking his class =)

Connors is a great professor and an all around great person. This is a hard class, but it's not out of line with the challenge of the subject itself. He seems to enjoy CMU, teaching, and his students, which makes for a win, win in the classroom. Be prepared to read your textbook and possibly fail a couple of quizzes. Again, hard class, great guy.

Seemed like he truly enjoyed what he was teaching. The class was very easy and he was very kind. You did need your book. Class is considered mandatory but you won't miss much unless you miss one of his pop quizzes. Overall easy and relatively interesting class...Good to take for comp.

This class was challenging. The prompt book project is really tough and time consuming. Half way into the semester lectures stop and all the class is is scene presentations. Dr. Connors is very helpful and pleasant to work with. I'd recommend taking him if you are willing to work your butt off.

Rather impossible to please, this one. Very knowledgable man, in fact, probably too knowledgable to be teaching at this university. He would be better suited to a huge state university, or somewhere overseas.
