Comment:

My favorite professor during my first semester at UTM! He is such a knowledgeable person, and he truly cares for his students. There's quite a bit of reading involved, but you get so much out of this class. We got out early many times. He gives feedback rather than letter grades on papers. I loved his class and will take him again for sure!!!

Comment:

I took his class in high school as a part of a dual enrollment program. We read a lot and would have a daily work over vocab but as long as you actually read it's not too tough. We wrote many papers during the semester but he gave such great feedback on every single one. He really takes the time to make sure you are improving in your writing!

I'm taking him for Linguistics. He's such a wonderful Professor. I'm sad this is the last class I'll have him for. If you get the opportunity to take him for something--DO IT!! You won't regret it! He's so caring, understanding, and passionate about teaching. He TRULY wants you to learn.

Tim is literally the best professor I have ever had. He is very clear on what he expects from you. You have daily work over the assigned readings but the questions are always the same. You are also allowed to ask him any questions you want before he hands it out. A lot of reading to do, but it's not hard. I would definitely take him again!

I had Tim my past two semesters and he is honestly my favorite professor I have had so far. He is extremely understanding when it comes to not making it to class or events going on. Yes you will have to work, but he made both courses 100% worth paying attention too. Im waiting until next semester so I can have him again. Funny too!

Amazing professor. Amazing individual. Amazing class. Although it required quite a bit of reading, the books he chose were worth every single page. I learned so much, and his enthusiasm for the subject makes the class even more intriguing. Definitely a professor I would take again in the future. He really cares about his students.

I do not recommend taking Hacker for GENS101. He is the only GENS teacher that I know of who makes you do work. We had to read two books and do a research project. GENS is suppose to be about learning about the school and transitioning from high school. He made GENS horrible and I wish I would not have taken it. He also rambles on forever

Tim really cares about his students. His class requires a lot of reading with daily graded assignments. He has a unique way of scoring papers that makes him a lot easier to work with than other professors. He's very understanding and easy to like.

I took him for 111H and 112H, and it was fantastic. It was not near as demanding in the sense of the length of papers as my friend's regular class. He is all about quality content instead of length, and you truly learn a lot! His classes are themed, so the work is not monotonous and solely about grammar. It's wonderful.

Tim is a great English professor. He is very clear in defining what you need to do for your grade. His classes aren't hard, aside from a load of reading. He doesn't grade papers tough--instead his focus is on making you a better writer. There's no good reason that you can't get an A in his class. I liked it, and am taking him again next semester.

He's great! Take him!!!! He's funny and open to any ideas you may have. The research project was 7 pages, and there was a lot of reading, but you'll enjoy this class if you like learning about the Holocaust.

Very helpful. Rounds your grade 2 points. If you miss one of his quizzes he doesn't fail you. He just excuses it. He's really into the Holocaust. But very enjoyable class and an amazing teacher. I would recommend him to anyone!

Tim is a good teacher. Yes, I said Tim, he prefers to be called by his first name. He is a very interesting person to talk to. The Holocaust is his subject, ask him anything about it. He has a mandatory essay due at the end of the semester, take it seriously. Other than that he is rather easy going and willing to help.

Comment:

I just had him for Freshman Studies, but can testify for his teaching method for sure. He is a great teacher who really wants to see his students succeed. Just do the work, and you will get a good grade. He cares more about the student than the grade though. Would recommend him for sure! Cool guy!
