I went through the recording program many years ago. Tim and Fred Baker were great professors. Very professional, were passionate about there trade, insightful, great with the students. Glad to know that Tim is still at GRCC. There were a plethora of things I liked about him. Bit of a nerd, maybe thats why I liked him.

He is the one reason why the recording tech program at GRCC rivals that of many universities. In fact, the amount you learn in the program pretty much will prepare you to go straight into an entry level studio position. Because of his years of experience working in the industry I would definitely recommend going into his program before any college.

He's a nice guy, great sense of humor, soft-spoken. He's really smart and knows his stuff... but maybe a little too smart. This is BASIC Studio Techniques, but he lectures as if we are all Master's degree students. I don't think he fully understands that for a lot of us, this is our first time LOOKING at a DAW, let alone operating one.

Tim's a great teacher. Loved the class. Great sense of humor and all around cool guy! Very knowledgeable and helpful WHEN YOU ASK FOR HELP. If you're struggling don't be afraid to ask for assistance or he'll just assume your doing fine. Class was very informative and upon graduation I got a job in a studio and now and a full time audio engineer.

All around great guy. Extremely Easy going...patient and Helpful WHEN YOU ASK for help. He teaches Mainly Audio Engineering and Recording Techniques. Very knowledgable of producing music, technology, and audio engineering. Had a great time in his class. Great sense of humor. By far one of my top favorite 3 Professors during college.

ok teacher. dont expect to learn anything valuable in the classes until you get to the hands on portions, rest is mostly a waste of time. he doesnt answer questions very well. not to enthusiastic, wont go beyond what his "teaching" status so dont expect him coming over and helping if he sees you doing something wrong, he knows his stuff though.
