Wow. I am astonished at the negative comments. Tim Keane is my writing instructor at NYU, and I feel very fortunate to have such a high-caliber intellectual and excellent communicator as my teacher. Maybe these disenchanted students need to examine what they're bringing to the table. You can't teach someone who doesn't want to learn.

He is the worst teacher EVER!! Do not take his class! I learned nothing in this class. OMG!! He loves to hear himself talk whenever you do try to participate he cuts you off if he doesn't agree with you. He's always right you're always wrong. He's never clear about what he wants from you. He isn't helpful. He doesn't give any helpful feedback The material he picks for u to read is BORING!! If you want to pass and learn he is definitely not the teacher you should pick.

I loved this class and he was a great professor to teach it. He assigns three stories to write. We critique and give helpful hints to each of our classmates stories. The only thing that really sucked was that he had us by the short stories book which was pricey and I only opened it one time! but no midterm or final!
