Comment:

Tim is the best professor I have ever had. He's a little outdated and sometimes rambles but he is incredibly intelligent. He cares so much about the students and takes the time to get to know us and engage with us effectively. Easy marker. I will always search for classes with him before anyone else. Also a cool person to get to know in general.

Comment:

Prof Struthers is an easy marker, but his seminar is very boring. We did presentations every single day so he never actually taught anything. He marks for attendance and participation so you have to show up and just sit through it to get the marks. His outlines for essays and assignments are not clear either.

SO, he is out dated in his teaching techniques. He also did not teach. He had students prepare presentations from the beginning of the semester until the end. There was no teaching involved. Attendance is important but you don't do much. I have read LITERALLY only what I was personally working on. Wouldn't recommend unless you need easy marks.

Tim is without a doubt the best professor I've ever had. When looking for classes I always look for his name, hoping to find one that I can signup for. Tim genuinely cares for his students and will always help you when needed. He is extremely approachable and never makes you feel stupid. The texts for class focus are also really interesting and fun

I adored Tim. Not only did he genuinely care about you and your grades he understood that we have lives outside of the classroom. He was always eager to help, replied to any kind of email, and loved hearing feedback from the class. If I ever have the opportunity to take a class with him, I absolutely will. Such a sweetheart.

I've had him two years in a row and he has never been anything but helpful and encouraging. He thrives on creativity and if you show him some original thinking on your part you'll probably do fine. I made all 6 of my presentations either the night before or the day of and never got below 75%

Best teacher I ever had. Take every class you can with him! You need to love reading and learning as his classes are reading intensive. You need to do the readings. Tends to ramble and interrupt. Fair marker. Takes care of his students and actually gets to know you. Friendly and approachable.

A very deep, fascinating individual. Is very thoughtful and caring towards the diversity of voice among students. Most of the important stuff is learned through his spontaneous style lectures, so it's always best to come to class!

Awful professor. Never once taught us how to write an effective essay. He would simply say "write an essay on 'this'" Not a single class was spent on how to structure an essay or how to make it more compelling. It was essentially a $750 place to practice writing. (could have done that at home). The books were awful.

Professor Struthers is a wonderful teacher. His class does demand hard work and attention but he is extremely insightful and helpful. He is also very understanding. He's a fair marker and encourages participation within his classes. I will be taking his courses again and again. Yes, he interrupts, however he only means the best!

Worst professor I have had to date. He's friendly enough but you will have no idea what is coming out of his mouth. He's not very articulate or comprehendable. Strange man. Giggles to himself a lot. Interrupts presentations often. He also blindsighted me with a bad final mark when I did pretty well throughout.

One of the rudest, most unpleasant individuals I have ever had the displeasure of coming across. I asked for help in his class when I had to be absent and he sent me a fiery email telling me that if I missed any classes I wasn't really "in" his class at all. He then said he would not help me. WORST professor ever.

Great prof...loves the unexpected. Tends to talk off the top of his head, so lectures can be either fascinating or a total bore. Unorthodox -- really encourages students to be creative, and to find their own voices. Very caring.

this man cares so much about his students - if you show interest in learning what he's talking about he'll be your best friend. by far my favourite professor yet. so so encouraging.
