This class was the only C in 125 credits. I spent more time studying for his class than my other 3 classes combined. Got three A's in the other class. 90% of class failed. Tests were nothing like class work. Nice enough guy though.

He is a funny guy in a nerdy way. He is very knowledgeable about the subject maybe too knowledgeable he just seemed bored of it. He kinda talked down to us and seemed to have a chip on his shoulder in a revenge of the nerds kinda way.

Best teacher for math I have ever taken. All that you have to do to get a good grade is go to class, take notes, do some homework (he doesnt really assign it or collect it), and take the tests. I just showed up for class and did the homework and did well. He shows you the simplest way to do things, not the books way. I wish he taught calc.

Great teacher! Class is not mandatory but it will definitely hurt if you miss a class. He teaches tricks that make problems easy! Take good notes and go to class. Gives reviews before the test which are helpful. Quizzes are only one problem, and test are short. I was scared about taking calculus but Totten made this class great! Highly recommended!

Totten is the man! i have never met a math professor that can calculate so many problems in his head. he's brilliant. tests aren't easy but if you pay attention, study and do the hw u will do good but most importantly you learn alot!

Rotten Totten is an amazing professor. I had so much fun taking his courses. He explains how to work problems in a way that any joe off the street could learn the material. Too bad he isn't a physics professor. Take his class, do the homework, and you will not be disappointed in your grade.

I had Prof. Totton in summer for 1140 and now in spring for 1114, and in both classes received an A+. Totton is great if you are a science or math major, for showing you the Totton technique on many prob. However, if are weak at heart/mind you may have a prob. he has a crude manner way of how he acts.

He made my trig. class amazingly fun. I'm an Engineer major and I learned alot. He went off on tangents sometimes, but they made sense to the class. You have to actually do the homework to understand the material, so be ready to work!! I would take another one of his classes in a heartbeat.

Totton is hardcore, but he is a great professor. He shows you the Totton tech. for solving prob., which makes life easier. YOU MUST GO TO CLASS AND DO HW TO DO WELL. if your not lazy and slow you could too get an A.

TAKE HIM! He is the best math teacher i've ever had in my entire life. He makes things soo easy to understand and he always teach us the "Totten" way which is way easier than the book. Very condescending to students. Frequently says "DUH" (to students) and makes fun of people who don't grasp his haphazard and very fast paced approach to "teaching". Offers no reviews before his tests, grades harshly. It's obvious he doesn't mind failing a student who has perfect attendance, and makes an effort to do all the homework and study.
