Pompous, prick. He likes to appear ivory tower while failing in his objective, TO TEACH.

Pretty interesting for your basic "Egghead" professor; really enthusiastic abou what he does, in a quiet sort of way.

I liked the class so much that I went out and bought his book, The Luxury of Skepticism. Never thought i could enjoy something so ivory tower but the guy's a great writer, even if what he writes is a bit over my head.

I had him for Great Books 2 and really enjoyed his class. He loves class discussions and keeps class fresh with current news and political issues. I made a C in his class but could have easily done better if i had spent more time on his essays.

Helpful and insightful, but good at telling if you wrote your paper the night before it was due. Also, the course material was lacking a bit. The reading just wasn't interesting at all. He's a good guy.
