Great guy. Makes lectures fun by applying methods and course content to the class and to his family. Always has funny stories to tell. Gives test questions weeks in advance so you have time to answer them and study them before being tested on them. Must participate in class.

Attendance is monitory if you want to do well in the course. He loves to talk which makes class interesting and allows you to choose how the tests are formatted which was great. If you go to his office hours for further understanding it will help a lot. He's one of my favorite professors i've had so far.

Dr. Franz is a wonderful teacher. He can come across as strict or grumpy, but once you get to know him and are engaged in class he is very funny and interesting. I love going to that class just to hear how all aspects of psychology can relate to life. I would reccomend taking a class with him if you get a chance.

Franz is more helpful than any professor I've had in 5 years. He is engaging in the classroom, loves to actually get to know his students, and goes above and beyond if a student seeks him out for help. He is demanding, and a tough grader--but the simple truth is, you get the grade you earn. I highly recommend any class with Dr. Franz.

He is currently my advisor. Very good professor: clear, answers questions, welcomes students into his office for help, etc. Can come off as irritated, but he isn't and after 10 minutes of class it is clear he is doing what he loves to do: teach. He does not tolerate slackers, but very flexible at the same time as long as you show effort.

He's a terrible teacher. He relates everything to his kids or dogs. He lectures constantly, and I mean constantly! He doesn't move around, stays in the same place. Tries to seem cool, but lacks ability to break through to his students. Hard tests. Not very engaging at all. Can put sleep itself to sleep.
