Honestly, where did some of the test questions come from? That was the hardest part of the class. The obscure questions from left field, wow. Other than that, Ms Gonzalez was very pleasant.

Instructors say they don't care or read these posts, but I don't believe that! That being said, just know she has a testing style that comes DIRECTLY from the book. The first test or two your going to be lost on the test, but pay attention and you will figure out where she gets her questions from, if you don't you will not do good, seriously.

Comment:

Should have taken this class online and I would have done better. She confused me more than taught me. I read the book and then found that she would test on the most obscure details. She doesn't like to stop and answer questions, so don't bother to ask any. Just memorize the book and you'll do fine.

A good teacher, expect to study--notes and textbook. You will earn your grade. She will not hand you an A! Those who did not like Mrs G did not know how to study--this course and her tests make you use a brain!

Great teacher. Her first test is hard, but once you learn her testing style you will get the hang of it. I did average on my tests and made out with a B in the class. She is very helpful and knows her stuff. Her class definitely wasn't easy, but it wasn't hard. If you come to class and study, you will do great. Lots of extra credit opportunities!

I suggest not taking her. She is very hard and it seems like everybody agrees. Her lectures are of no help and her tests stare back at you while you stare at it. The questions come out of no where. Her lectures consist of her giving examples and usually talking about them 3 class period in a row.

She is a very nice teacher and really outgoing and upbeat, but her love of talking affects her teaching. She uses examples more than she teaches the text but tests are from what is in the text and barely on anything she actually went over in class. If you take this course you will HAVE to read the text before the test or you will FAIL!!!

Her lectures are useless. She spends 20 minutes talking about a personal experience and the rest reading subtitles from the chapters. All you can do is read from the book. There is no review. Read before the lecture regardless of what she says. That way you are prepared to ask questions. I would not suggest taking her class.

Absolutely hated this class!! Tried so hard to take notes, extra credit, study and all that and got no results. The rumor is true you WILL NOT KNOW what is on the tests. There are no study guides so just open the book and pick a page because you'll have a better chance of passing. Teach yourself kinda class. I'll never take her again! No direction!

Not an easy course, but it is a college level science course after all. Ms. Gonzalez is very prepared and knows her subject well. Students definitely have do their part in the learning experience - read the chapter, take notes, study your notes, ask questions and you will do fine. I was excited about nutrition and ate better while in her class.

Horrible teacher. This teacher was not helpful at all. She wasted class time by rambling on about stories that did not relate to nutrition. She did not have any reviews before any test, you just had to guess what would be on the test. One of those teachers that do not care about their students and are just plain lazy!

She is a good teacher and knows what she is talking about. Not an easy class. You should be fine as long as you READ THE WHOLE CHAPTER that usually prepares you for test.She is very nice and will help you with diet studies. I recommend her but only if your prepared to study!!

Entertaining but rambled a lot. If she says you don't nd to know something for the test-it will be on the test! Tests not based on lecture or PP-know everything in the chapters! If you know Nutrition, you will do fine. The diet studies were fun and enlightening. It was a very frustrating semester.
