Comment:
Jenkins' voice is monotonous and he spends much of his class time on demonstrations that either go unexplained or simply don't work out. That being said, he gives out plenty of free points for doing homework and simply showing up; with this and the extra credit, it is quite hard to get less than a B in his class.

Funny physics examples. Real good guy. has iclicker questions every class that you don't need to get right you just need to answer them to get credit which is nice if you struggle in physics. glad I had him as a professor

He's a very nice, caring man but just a terrible lecturer. Lectures are extremely boring and the examples he uses don't help at all with the homework or understanding. He seems to spend a lot of lecture time on unclear examples and glazes over big ideas needed for homework. Tests are easy enough but I had to get a tutor. Passable, not enjoyable.

Just incredibly boring professor. I had taken physics with another professor and had no problems. Wanted to fall asleep in Jenkin's lectures.

Jenkins is kind, understanding and patient. Grading is easy and clear. Attendance not mandatory, but easy points from clickers if you go. Tests are exactly what you expect and resemble the practice exams. If you miss a test, or get sick, he is quick to help and accommodate. Easily one of the best teachers. Even if you suck at math, you can get an A

Professor Jenkins is laid back. That's his defining quality. The class isn't easy, per se. But, he clearly explains what material will be on the exams; he also offers extra credit at the end of the term. Reading the text is very helpful. Attending class is a good idea. Your very best bet for an A in General Physics is Professor Timothy Jenkins.

He is definitely a character to listen to, which makes the class more enjoyable. But in terms of teaching the subject, it varies. He is good at teaching one part of the class while struggling to teach another part. Beware of the circular motion section!! Overall not a horrible teacher, but he sometimes fails to explain things clearly.

I dread going to the lectures, because he simply isn't a good lecturer. He basically reads off his slides for an hour, although I will say that his powerpoints are pretty good. They are short and concise and contain most of the necessary info. That said, it's unnecessary to go to lecture, but its mandatory whichhell. Tests are straightforward.

Professor Jenkins was not a helpful teacher. I use to like physics until I took this class. His lectures and examples are terrible and useless. I only received a good grade in the class because 50% of it is easy pre-lecture items. I never paid any attention in class and studied for the test two days before and received good enough grades.

Jenkins is a great professor. His tests are not very challenging. He tells you what will be on the exams and he also gives opportunities for extra credit, so take advantage of that! It is also important to go to his lectures.

He is definitely a very, very, VERY nice person. As a teacher, not really sure. For the tests he tells us which homework the question is going to come from and so I went to office hours to ask if a certain question was there and he basically did it for me

This guy is a VERY nice guy. That said, he's a pretty bad teacher, or maybe he's just burned out. Regardless, I paid the course fee to teach myself and half the time I had to go into GTF help sessions because some of the homework couldn't be solved with information from the book or lectures. So the course is pretty sink or swim with jenkins...

Tim is a great teacher and overall awesome guy. He is helpful if you have a question or concern and is very understanding! Do the homework, projects, and show up for every class. You will do great if you try on assignments and dedicate yourself. He is very patient, so have patience for him (when the demonstrations don't work on the first try)

Useless. Lectures are overly basic, homework is online and not particularly helpful at all. And his tests are too long, most of the time only a small number of students are finished in time. This is the second term I've had him as an instructor, and that's a re-accuring theme. If you have any other available teachers at all, go with them.

Although not the best lecturer, Prof. Jenkins is a very fair teacher. All test problems are pulled from homework and class examples, and attending lectures combined with reading the book should be enough to get by. Also he makes himself very available outside of class and does great updating Blackboard. I found him hilarious as well.

If you review the reading questions and study the type of problems he suggests will be on the exam, you should do well on the exams. No real surprises on the exams, although the final was more difficult. Overall, the exams were fair and you can do well if you put in the appropriate time.

He's like Mr. Magoo or Gallagher if you're in the front row. His experiments never worked exactly right, and he just made everything more confusing. Would have been better taking an online class.

Insanely boring class of reading book-focused PowerPoints with relevant but confusing demos/supplemental info; goes very in-depth but doesn't expect beyond-basic mastery; open-ended tests!! though with pretty clear expectations of material to know; (overwhelmingly) scientific about learning about the stars
