Tim Lash is an amazing professor. He understands the material and is an excellent educator. He makes time for his students and is a reasonable human being most of the time. He is funny, caring, and willing to help if you need it and ask. Always ask. He will help if he can and if you are willing to put in the work to succeed. Visit office hours.

Dr. Lash is the kindest person that I've ever met. I struggled so much in this class due to a rough start in the semester, but he still believed in me and made my success a priority. Dr. Lash will be the first to admit that organic chemistry isn't everyone's best subject. However, he is extremely willing to help his students. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS

This class is much easier if you actually go, and contact Dr. Lash when you need help. He is very helpful and will work with you to get the grade you want. Make sure you do the problem sets before tests and quizzes even though they aren't graded, they really help!

Great teacher! It's a hard class, but if you study the notes daily and attend his weekly review sessions, you will be set up for success. Even if chemistry isn't a strength of yours, I personally believe that if you do justice, you will leave this class with at least a B.

Dr. Lash is a very helpful professor if you go see him during his office hours -- which is highly recommended. He also holds weekly review sessions which help clear things up. And the practice exams and problem sets are super helpful. You have to put in the effort though since this class is difficult, but an A is definitely doable.

a little hard to understand at first. not exactly a warm but is very helpful if you ask for it. some say he is mean but just very straight forward. the class is hard. the material is challenging. he gives lots of great handouts and worksheets. if you come everyday and do the assigned readings and an A is possible. would take again.

As much as I'd like to give him a good review since his intentions are good, Lash isn't a great teacher. He understands the material that he's teaching, but fails to relay it to students in an understandable matter. quizzes and tests are graded as all credit or no credit per question, even if a portion is correct. Do not skip any lectures.

He's a little hard to understand but overall a great teacher. He goes over everything multiple times and never throws any curve balls. His study guides and notes are very helpful and a good indicator of what will be on the test.

I loooooooved Dr. Lash. He is so helpful with class. I had him for the lab but he was always concerned of how I was doing in the lecture portion and always offered help. He is so intelligent and sometimes it was hard to understand him at times but it was well worth it to get help from him. I'm going to miss him :( I hope I can have him again!!!

I was afraid I wouldn't be able to understand him, but after going to class for about a week I could automatically understand him. This was a repeat class for me, and he taught completely different material from the first time I took it. He seems to be very nice, and helpful if you put the effort into it. Study the handouts!

Very difficult to understand. Smart man but is incapable of teaching the material. Tests are similar to practice exams, although difficult. Do not expect any after class help or advice from him, very unapproachable. If you don't understand a lecture, his advice is drop the class. This class is better taken with ANYBODY else. The book will save you.

Lash is very hard to understand. With the content of the course already difficult, this does not help at all. However, tests are similar to practice exam which helps. Not a very approaching professor, very awkward, as well as condescending. Delay class if possible

Organic chemistry is a hard subject. Dr. Lash is a great professor! He's always willing to help a student. Just drop by his office. He's honest and will tell you like it is, which I can see why people think he's mean. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear. Do his handout and attend his review sessions! Don't be afraid to ask questions.
