Likes to make jokes and can easily be found in his office ready to help and will explain stuff until you get it Programming assignments are of reasonable length and difficulty. However, his lectures can be boring and I can't overlook the fact that he accused someone in my class of cheating over nothing more than the comment at the top of his program.

Professor Meyer is a great instructor and a genuinely nice person. He won't give you the answers but he will give you hints and advice and multiple chances to figure things out. He will help you as long as you are willing to put in the work to help yourself. 10/10 recommend.

While he is very hard of hearing, he is a wonderful professor who cares about his students. Getting an A in his class wasn't that difficult, and I looked forward to going to his class. I am honestly thrilled to have him again next semester!

I really liked having him this semester! He is a VERY nice professor. Is class boring? Ya (what computer class isn't), but he makes it almost impossible to fail. As long as you show up and follow what he does on his screen(take notes, this saved by butt) you will pass no problem. Anything less than a B is your fault not his.

He is almost fully deaf so asking questions during class is usually a no-go, but pulling him aside after class or during his office hours is recommended. He will help you until you understand what it is you're asking about. His lectures aren't terrible to sit through either, and he usually has a pretty good joke to tell every once in a while.

I'd call myself an experienced beginner, so obviously I wasn't challenged at all by his CSCI-130 class. From my view-point I think he may not do a perfect job of explaining the topic to those that have never seen C++ or any programming language for that matter. Difficult to communicate with in person due to his hearing, but always replies to emails

He's very difficult to understand and communicate with during class because of his hearing disability. He's a VERY nice man, though. I really enjoy taking his classes. His programs challenge you and make you think. Probably not a good class to take if you aren't a CS major

Yes, he's a nice guy, however, he's not good at answering questions because he can't hear correctly. He also has a soft voice so if you sit in the back you can't hear a thing he's saying. All tests are open book, no studying needed. It's basically a free class to surf the web or catch up on work in other classes.

Although he is a nice and helpful person he just did not fit with me. He has a hands off teaching style and even though you ask him for help he does not assist you. He does not have a lot of direction in how he teaches. For people who want a straight direction he is not the person to have.

Dr. Meyer is hilarious and very nice. I found a lot of people in my class rude to him, he tells you he has hearing aids and people seemed to forget throughout the semester. It's a super easy class and I have a 100 with minimal effort.

Overall, class was easy. Dr. Meyer is losing his vision and hearing which in my opinion, interfed with his assistance to you if you needed it. A really nice an approachable professor. Gives you adequate time for assignments. We had 1 oppurtunity for extra credit, so do it! Final wasn't hard. I got an A in the class
