Very monotone and doesnt change the pitch of his voice when he lectures; he makes the classes feel super long. There was a reading test almost every week (easy if you read the stories). Essays arent too hard to comprehend; he is a really tough grader. Do your work on time and youll be okay, even though youll dread going to class every week.

He is very soft spoken and kind of monotone. Not warm and fuzzy at all. Watched several movies and spent a lot of class time going over instructions for assignments. Easy A but there's a lot of reading and paper writing.

This is the probably easiest English 2 class college has to offer. With that being said; he is ALWAYS in a bad mood, he "requests" class participation and either cuts you off or looks like he wants to shoot himself any time you open your mouth. He LITERALLY sighed saying "one more week" after the ONE TIME we/I got him to laugh in the WHOLE semester

He's a good teacher who grades your papers by grammar and whether or not your point come across clearly. He is very clear on what he expects and even gives a calendar of the work you will be assigned. He does grades bit hard, but his feedback was very helpful. I didn't think we needed the text book, but you use it a few times for the short essays.

There weren't too many writing assignments(3 essays, and 5 summaries based off of readings from the book). Grades mostly by grammar rather than content. Does't engage with the class too much, except for throwing in a few jokes every now and then. Pretty straight forward. Would take again.

Professor Naylor isn't terrible, in fact he can be funny when he wants to be and gives generally good feedback. However, he is monotone and doesn't exactly scream passionate about his job. He is an intelligent man and on the up side, he is understanding about absences. Just be sure to let him know if you have an issue with attendance for any reason

he never really grades anything more than an 85 at most, he tends to jump off topic and doesn't really seem to enjoy his job.

I showed up to class on time everyday, except for a few times when I missed due to work, I took notes and studied for every exam. I always scored in the 90s when I took the examstests but I never achieved a grade higher than an 88 on the written parts. He told me to look online when I asked for help after class. He doesn't seem to enjoy teaching.

He is a tough grader, never saw any grades higher then a 90, you take a lot of testquizzes but you get to leave class when finished, some quizzes over stories out of the book is open book. If you study the Review for the test, its an easy A. The hardest part of the class is staying awake, interested, and paying attention.

easy class if you pay attention and do you work. Does make you write a few summaries on "short stories" and some essays. The essays have to be at least 5 paragraphs long, which is nothing compared to other teachers. 5 points can be added to nearly every assignment as long as you rewrite it. He's pretty old but also kinda funny at times.

The professor thinks his students are dumb and I don't blame him. He asked us if we knew what Hypothesis was and other similar questions. On his essays I suggest you stay on topic and not write a book. He cares more about grammar not content. Research Papers are more about content.

Very boring person. Not much writing for a composition class. We wrote 4 essays and six short summaries over short stories. He grades your papers and gives them back and you can rewrite them for up to five more points which is pretty nice. (he puts corrections on your paper so it is really easy to correct)

I am taking Tim Naylor for Comp 1, he is pretty boring, but very easy-going. He is not very clear on what he wants done for his assignments, but allows you to fix them. Tells you exactly what to expect on tests and lays out week by week plans on rubric. If you can stay awake through his monotone lectures, I would recommend taking this class.

I love english, but this class made me never want to write an essay again. He spelled out what he wanted, but God forbid you have a different opinion than him. He never gives a 100, except on reading quizzes. I think the highest grade anyone got in my class on a paper was a 96. I took a summer course, and 2 out of 5 weeks were spent only on grammar
