I took him for Music and Civilization and got an A. All the tests, and the final, are online so just use the powerpoints and utilize the search function and you'll do fine. He assigns a lot of work but it's not hard. Two presentations, 1 individual and 1 group, not hard at all. If you have to take this class, tak ehim.

This class is such an easy A. He gave 4 test that equalled 56% of your grade and they were all online. Use a book, the internet, and open the power points and you'll be fine. He gives a ton of work, but they take pretty much no effort. If you have to take this class i would take it with this guy. Class is extremly boring though, especially night

argghh! keeps class ten minutes late EVERY TIME. lots of homework, which is not always adequately explained ahead of time. i.e. he taught the material on the midterm the day he assigned the midterm. also, a little disorganized ("i seem to have only made two copies of the assignment...") there are only five people in this class!

This guy is the man!! He is mad cool and he is really helpful. He makes the class easy and fun and is really lenient when it came to late assignments. It is a guaranteed "A" for anyone, even a monkey could get an "A"

He is an AWESOME man! He may be a bit boring because he's monotoned... However, he is not a hard grader AT ALL.. all 5 of the quizzes and assignments are easy and open book... and if you have problems.. just talk to him.. he's very understanding... :-)

i think prof. urban is a really awesome guy. sure the material is boring, but thats not his fault. he may assign un-needed work, but he gives you a fair chance to do it all! i suggest if you have to ake a boring class like music history, take him!

A little boring at times (bring laptop) and he expects you to know alot of material, but quizes are open notes. There's alot of busy work, but it's easy, so as long as you do it, you can't get a bad grade. Posts all notes on blackboard. He's really nice and is very helpful, just talk to him. =)

By far the easiest A I have had... He does assign unnecessary work... but they are sooo easy (he gives you all the notes and lets you use them for the quizzes) and is very nice, all you have to do is have common sense and talk to the guy. But I do warn you... he can be pretty boring

What a pain in the neck...other survey courses expect so little. This one however, who I hear used to be easy, assigns tedious busy work that doesn't teach anything. Nitpicks and is unforgiving. Relies too heavily on blackboard even if it wont work.

This guy sucks! He is a bad teacher and is very hard. The concert reports are crazy and if you are looking for an F he is you rman. avoid him!! it was a huge mistake to take his class. in 13 years of school he is by far the worst teacher ive ever had.

This guy is easy as hell, took him twice and got two A's. No homework, easy grader on concert reviews, and he gives you worksheets that has everything for the exams. If you can get over his crazy eyes, he's an easy way to kill music cores
