Entire class is lecture. From the lecture you get notes & he passes out a study guide before each exam. Extra credit available. doesn't have canvas, or a class assignment schedule. entire class is just him talking & asking us to chime in sometimes. Easy going & if you read before class you will be more than prepared. tests are easy if you study.

Make sure you keep the syllabus and course outlines for the essay tests. His lectures are verbal, and activities mostly consist of roleplaying in certain situations. Reading the textbook is recommended, but not required. There are many chances to get extra credit, but you're limited to a maximum of 10 points. Not really visual, has no Canvas acct.

All the notes you take come from him just verbally talking. He doesn't put slides up on the board for you to write down. He talks and from what he says, you're suppose to take notes. He isn't mean and he isn't a horrible professor but he isn't a traditional professor either.

Lecture heavy. He tells you what he wants before a test and gives a study guide. It's best to give a definition and examples when possible to show you understand the material. Answers questions to the best of his abilities

Great professor. Funny. I enjoy going to his class because not only do I learn the material for the test but I am able to relate and apply it to my life. That's the best type of learning. He loves to hear what you have to say. His tests are passable if you go to class, take good notes, and participate.

He seems like such a nice guy. But he stares a lot and also, he doesn't do traditional PowerPoint notes that most professors do, his notes are verbal. So it's kind of hard to take good notes in his class. But he isn't a mean man, just not the best instructor.

I would not recomend him. If you are a visual learner this is not the professor for you. He does not use powerpoint. He gives you an outline on the board and he just talks and talks and talks. You dont get homework. Youre grade relies on your test scores. You get only 3 or 4 extra credit opporuniites. Class is boring. Not stimulating at all.

For the most part, Professor Gaffaney is passionate about teaching. It is up to you to listen and take really neat notes on the outline he gives you. He covers everything you need to know for the exam and is always willing to clarify. He is very positive, funny, and always enjoys a class that participates. Read the textbook too for an guaranteed A

He is a great professor, really nice and open to answer your questions the ONLY problem is that he only lectures. If you are a visual learning like me, I would recommend you not take his class. He does not use power points. he talks really fast so you take notes by hand or laptop. But he does give study guides, exams difficult must read and study

Fantastic professor and class. Lectures were very interesting and he did great explaining information. Essay tests consisted more of long-ish answers for various questions than actual essay format. If you have a good memory, your studying should not take long and you should pass pretty easily. Take really good notes, you'll need them.

His tests are all essay form and require blue books. Everything you need to know for the tests are in his lectures but it's a struggle to write everything down as he talks. I would recommend taking your laptop and typing instead of writing it. You definitely need hours of studying to pass. He himself is a nice man who likes to make jokes.

One of my favorite professors so far. Made me love Psychology even more! I took him for Abnormal psych and looked forward to class every time. He had AMAAAAZING lectures and always had great stories to tell from when he used to practice. Tests are essay format so you have to study hard to pass. Write everything he says, and you will do just fine :)
