Avoid Wilcox at all costs. His over-inflated ego will prove a great hinderance to an acceptable grade. His lecture material closely mirrors that of the book, and all is well until you get his test.The test has nothing to do with what he taught, or assigned as reading. His exam questions are vague, confusing and too similiar to each other. No Curve.

Studding is a must. BUT his lectures are AMAZING. His knowledge of the courts is very impressive and he throws alot of funny and relevant jokes into his lecture. (hillarious guy). Yes the class if very hard, and the exams are basically scary. But its a great challenge. You learn alot in this class. Hard but a great class.

The last post is right, only his opinion matters. He trys to be funny, not teach. It's a waste. As far as tests, they don't seem hard but the people who haven't studied do better it seems; no matter how much you study, you can't get a good grade. This has turned out to be the hardest class. It should've been the easiest. Don't take his intro, maybe the courts. Edit- he's listed as a grad student on the dept web site, maybe that's why his lectures are so scattered and confusing.

Studying is a must. He thinks that he is the funniest man the earth has ever seen, which doesn't exactly contribute to your understading of the class. If I could do it again, I would definitely take another teacher. Lots of reading, and very boring lectures about a potentially very interesting subject. Keeps you to the very last second of class.

Try to take detailed notes and read the chapters before class and you may stand a chance. He is definitely not a very spirited, nor talented teacher. I found his lecture style to be dull, uninspired and haphazardly organized. Tip: Know your articles, your amendments and supreme court cases.

He checks attendance every day, and you have to read a chapter for almost every class. He has pop quizzes often, so you have to do all the reading to get a good grade. Sit with your friends the first few days, because he will create a seating chart one day based on where you are seated. Lecture notes are helpful, but reading will help more.

Horrible. Gives a SEATING CHART, which is ridiculous. He stands up and lectures for an hour and fifteen minutes straight, and never lets the class go even a minute early. I've been to every class and studied hard for every test yet I can't get above a C. He offers no extra credit or homework, and gives random pop quizzes on the reading. AVOID!

THIS CLASS IS EXTREMELY HARD! HE DOESN'T POST ANY NOTES AND WRITE WHAT HE THINKS IS IMPORTANT. HIS TESTS ARE LAW SCHOOL MATERIAL AND HE DOESN'T GIVE ANY TYPE OF EXTRA CREDIT.. OUR CLASS AVG WAS 58.. DO NOT TAKE!! AGAIN I REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE!!!

Wilcox is rude and obnoxious. The tests do not correlate with the lectures. All he talks about is the Supreme Court, but that's not all he tests on. Save your self the trouble and don't take him. Studying does not help much because he makes the tests confusing, I think intentionally.

This guy was arrogant and extremely difficult. His lectures were interesting at times, but his tests were hell. No matter how hard you study, the questions will trick you. Avoid him if you can, if not be prepared to work really hard to get even a decent grade.
