Comment:

He is one of the worst teachers I have ever seen. It is not easy to follow his teaching, since he is flying between several unrelated examples. He makes the classes dull and boring. Midterm questions and assignments are totally different and solving those assignment do not get you any benefit.

He is Good Professor who puts his maximum effort to teach. But, interms of grading he is not good. His exams are tough because none come from the assignments nor the book he refers. I recommend everyone to practice your homeworks by your own and get your doubts cleared with him else a new question in the paper deters your confidence.

he is a wonderful professor. he prepares well for the classes, and he is always ready to help students. his evaluation method is fair enough. he covered the whole book which has 22 chapters in a semester, and have made it understandable. I definitely recommend him.

Here is what important. His tests are never from previous year question papers and every questions test your skills, I liked it. His evaluation method is good. He teaches well, makes student to understand. Worth taking his class. I recommend highly taking his classes.

Dr. Duman's teaching was straightforward and fair. His tests didn't contain too many surprises but he curves. Overall, if you put forth the effort the class is pretty simple.

Comment:

Teaches at a really high pace and is hard to keep up with. Would not recommend if you are not an EE. Exams are much more difficult than homework. Homework solutions are given to you, but there is a quiz on the homework when it is due. He is sometimes rude and doesnt always answer questions. Not the worst prof but certainly not one of the best.

The class content is not all that difficult, but this guy is a terrible teacher. He makes lectures dull, and he does nothing but fly through examples, which are explained better in the textbook anyways. His tests are also extremely difficult, and do not even resemble the class examples or homework. You couldn't pay me to take another class of his!

I can't believe ASU still let's this guy teach! He may know his stuff, but is more interested in research than his students. Tests are extremely hard, and do not follow homework. if you have the option, choose a different professor for EEE 554.

Dr. Duman clearly is a subject matter expert. His tests are hard, but he grades on a curve. I'm not satisfied that I learned the material as well as I would have liked, but that could be due in part to his teaching, in part to my attempt to take the course in 8 weeks, and in part due to the difficulty of the material. I give him a B.

This was the most difficult class I've ever had. I ended up around a 50 AVG, but still got a B. I've never been more lost in any subject. I'm a fairly intelligent guy (3.85 GPA in undergrad, and 4.0 GPA in graduate before this class), but I couldn't follow anything he was talking about. I left this class without any understanding of the subject

Dr Duman knows probability inside and out. Unfortunately, he is a very poor instructor. He has little interest in fostering understanding. He just does endless equations for 1 hour+ as he drones on like a cyborg. He will crush any interest you might have had in probability; The textbook is obscure and his exams are totally ruthless. BEWARE!
