I enjoyed taking his classes. He is helpful, understanding, and easy to talk to. However, when it came to his lectures, I found myself counting the number of times that he said "ya-know" instead of listening. 72 times in 1/2 hour on average for Accounting Principals 2. Overall though, I would recommend him.

Talks a lot about the second semester of the class more than the semester we are in. Very hard to understand what is going on and what he is trying to discuss. Half way through the semester I am still guessing as to what is going on.

Comment:

Barkley teaches Accounting Principles I&II and business math. Personally, I like his style of teaching though many do not care for him. He is a talker. If you are the type of person who cannot stand wasted class time he is probably not the professor for you. I learned a great deal from the courses and thought his teaching style was great.

Nice guy, likes to talk. If you go to class and do the minimal amount of homework, you will pass. If you don't get something, though, he explains it again - in the same words, only louder. Makes fun of students. Attendance mandatory.

He is a bad teacher. He is unclear and doesnt explain the lessons. When you ask a question he makes you feel stupid, stating that this is something we should know."I bet no one got this right." If he would teach it then maybe we would!
