It's really important to do your reading and research with Dr Carter-- but other than that, he genuinely cares about his subjects and students. If you take the time to make an effort and still find yourself needing help, he's more than happy to get you where you need to go.

I agree with the previous comments, he can be boring but he does have a dry sense of humor that may make you laugh or look at him like he's a nut :D He is really helpful and I think this class was super easy if you paid attention. He's really nice overall and obviously loves what he does. I'm hopefully taking Mass Comm with him next semester!

Guy knows his stuff and has a dry humor that not many college kids "get." He is hilarious if you pay attention and respect him. He is incredibly understanding to a fault, but I won't fault him that. His life story is pretty cool and he knows his stuff.

The ghost and human perception class is all about reading a book in basically a week. If you finish your big paper start reading the next book. He gives you a daily quiz grade out of 3 points based on the reading. Really simple class, really boring man, really interesting material. He is kind of awkward when it comes to teaching but just read.

Dr. Carter is a nice guy. His class can get a little boring but it's mostly because he's very mild mannered and explains things alot. Regardless, he's really nice and is always willing to help! I think he's hilarious, he always makes random comments that aren't intended to be funny. Do the readings!

Prof. Carter is a space cadet. His class is great for naptime. However, his tests are easy because they hardly require any studying. He's also very understanding about absences and missed work. I would recommend him for an easy GPA booster, however, drink a few Red Bulls before class.

He is my favorite teacher at RC. I've taken 2 classes with him and will be taking another and an Indep. Study. He is very understanding and interesting if you ACTUALLY pay attention... he also HAS to be impossible to fail. SUPER nice! Some say he's boring... but if you actually participate, he's not. Flighty, but that's okay! :)

Well he's kind of boring occasionally, but what professor/class isnt? Also flighty at times...very easy to get along with, helpful w/assignments, etc. Quirky sense of humor that IS funny sometimes. I'd recommend him over many other professors I've had!

so the guy can be boring- ive had him for 2 comm classes now and i think i got his style down. i actually think he is a really good teacher and does take his time explaining things so he doesn't confuse us. he can be a little airheaded on details (like emailing us if we dont have class) but overall a good teacher.

Very interesting class and professor. He doesn't give many tests or papers, and the assignments generally aren't too long, but several reading quizzes. They aren't hard at all if you just read the material. He likes class participation.
