Dr. Durnford is the oldest professor at KSC, but he's hilarious, and if you listen to him, then you can learn a lot. The more you show up, the more he gets to know you. I had him for FR201 and FR316, he gave us his textbooks which we didn't have to buy. His handouts are excellent, as well as his stories. Be prepared to read. Be attentive.

I took this class, expecting to learn French, and all I've done is watch movies. It's a 101 Class however, so all Durnford is trying to do is get the basics in your head. He can be really funny, and has a lot of stories to tell. He is scatterbrained at times, and will forget that he handed something out, or repeat stories he already told the class.

I love this teacher. He doesn't expect you to know french, he just wants you to be more knowledgable about the language which is what's really great about him. He's really laid back, he swears, and you don't have to show up for class, but you might as well go because he always lets you out early and tells funny stories. Definitely recommend him.

He's the most passionate teacher at KCS now that old Henry's gone. Tom changed my perspective, life, caused me to love France and live there. His style's odd, but he is aces. I guess he used to date Linda Hamilton....

World of Language was an easy class, and he has a good sense of humor. He does say uh a lot though, and him and the other professor that taught the class never agreed on how they were going to present material until class, which made it confusing.
