Truly passionate about his work and even more passionate about his students. Incredibly funny man and will make the boring parts of an english course seem to vanish. He puts his students first. He gives amazing feedback on your assignments and will never tell you anything that you will not need. Would take again 100% of the time.

He definitely wakes you up and keeps you interested especially if you're tired by the time his class starts late in the day. There isn't a lot of work but you do have to put in your best efforts to get a good grade in the class. As long as you're willing to put in the work, you should do well. He seems scary at first but he's a great professor!

He looks like he might be mean but he's chill and funny. He is direct about his expectations. A few chapter quizzes which aren't hard if you do the reading. Lectures are engaging. Lots of papers and the guidelines aren't impossible to adhere to. I really loved this class.

Talk in class. Ask questions. Make sure he knows who you are. Really good guy and good professor. A paper every few weeks, but they are interesting topics. He sorta-kinda lets you choose what you want to write about, make it good. No heavy homework. Take home assignments every other week or so. Absent a couple classes and you'll still be alright.

Took TK for english 1A and 1B. He acts hard the first few days, but he is a really nice professor. He'll say he won't accept late work no matter what but if you talk to him one on one with an actual reason he'll understand. Really funny lectures.

Korson is an AMAZING professor! He is hilarious; i always looked forward to his class. His lectures are never dull. He is a reasonable grader. He gives chapter test, so make sure you read! Chap tests are usually 15 questions and not too tough. He is fair. Just do your work and you'll pass. participate! do DLAs! Take his class, you won't regret it:)

Smart and funny/entertaining professor. He knows what he's teaching! I only received Cs and Bs on my papers. Honestly, I didn't even turn in one midterm paper and received 0 credit. For some reason, he gave me a B in the class. It made no sense, but because of him, I am now a transfer at UCR. I did not deserve to pass his class. Oh wells! :)

I took him for English 1B and I had a great time in his class. His lectures are never dull and he's a funny dude! Get a hold of the textbook because you're expected to read what he gives you. He sometimes calls on people. If you're shy, he won't embarrass or pick on you. The assignments were easy and straight-forward. Great professor!

I took him for Eng 1 A and 1 B and he is the greatest professor of all time! He's really charismatic, intelligent, humorous, and even handsome. English classes are generally boring but he knows how to make the class more interesting and helps students focus more on his class. I really enjoyed studying with him. Great professor! Really knows poetry, literature, etc. and his passion for it shows which makes the course much more enjoyable. Take him or regret it. If you can't pass Korson's class good luck trying to graduate college. Also has a great sense of humor. Highly recommmended
