Dr Tom is truly one of a kind. Unlike a lot of professors, he shows up to class every day excited to teach engineering. He is very passionate and is an overall amazing person. Despite being very overqualified to teach rudimentary classes like this, he is just as passionate and genuine. Dr Tom left a lasting impact on my life.

Really simple with homework and stuff, although assignments are due at 7 PM not midnight! Interesting stuff in class. Writes for a website for engineering.

Tom tries quite hard, but fails miserably. His focus is on learning technology and not on the discipline in point, but he still manages to let this aspect down. I failed to learn a thing from his class despite the A awarded. A shame. His heart is in the right place, but would be better suited teaching MS cert courses to high school drop outs.

All and all I think he's a good teacher. The information is clear and he has patience to listen to the students whose comments do not make any sense or repeat what he just said. He always came in on Monday morning grumpy. Also, he would be offended if you did not complete any assignment. Like you were failing him personally by not doing homework.

A great instructor that demands a lot out of you. He uses a variety of educational approaches to keep you on your toes, and makes sure that you really have the concepts down solid. Much harder than I expected, but much more rewarding as well.

This class is not what I thought it was going to be. We did lesson plans, Bloom's Taxonomy, etc. Some of the lessons seemed endlessly long but at the end of the semester it all came together. I really enjoyed this class althought it was very long

I totally am not a technology person, I despise computers, but after taking his class, I now am comfortable with computers, he makes it so everyone will understand, he has a really cool sense of humor, never made me feel dumb.

I was so not into this class when it started, but Tom really made it interesting and pertinant to teaching. He was amazingly helpful, even with other classes! He's a great instructor who's more interested in teaching than anything else. He expects a lot from his students, but he gives a lot in return! You'd be lucky to have him as an instructor!

It was a joy to take Tom for this class. He is energetic, funny, and really knows his stuff. He is extremely helpful, and you can't help but learn the material. His quizzes are easy if you pay attention to him(you will). One of the best teachers I've ever had.

Tom is very energetic, and makes concepts easy to understand. In this class, there are no tests. Just homework and lots of labs. Some of the labs end up being like open-book essay tests, but most are fun to do. A fun class!!!

Tom is a strict instructor, but he cares about his students and teaching. If you listen and do what he wants you will do well in his class. His tests are scary but aren't they all. Study what he says and they are fine.
