Dr. Matijasic is an amazing professor. His lectures are substantial, entertaining, and often make entire class laugh out loud. This man is a walking, talking, reliable source of American History. His tests can be tough, but if you show up and study you'll be ok. Take one of his classes if you get the chance, you won't regret it.

His lecture and teachings were what you normally expected from college courses. However, his grading is insane. It's not that he is picky about what you answer with. In the class I had with him, you could get an A on all your assignments and tests and still get a B for the course. If you miss 30 points total, you already lost your chance at an A.

I have always disliked history, but this class is my favorite class of all time. Dr. Matijasic kept the class interested - he told jokes, acted out his stories, and never referenced a book as he is the ultimate source of history knowledge!

He's one of those professors that you need to take inclass rather than online. You can tell he is extremely knowledgeable in history(helped write the book) and loves talking about basketball and making friendly jokes about Proffitt.

If he taught every class I needed I would take them ALL from him. He is an amazing teacher that makes history entertaining and interesting. Don't bother buying the book, his test are based from lecture and the final is NOT comprehensive. BUT I would highly recommend a voice recorder because he lectures faster than most can write. He's GREAT!

I HATED history before i took his class. But he really made it enjoyable. I learned tons and was bored. You take tons of notes but you dont need the book as long as you pay attention in class!
