Dr. Duce is a great teacher. He's very organized, sticks to the syllabus, and def knows his stuff. O-chem is not easy and no teacher is ever going teach it to you in 2.5 hrs a week, but if you put in the time you can do well in the class. He also goes out of his way to be available before and after class. Great class I learned a lot, and enjoyed it

I had Dr. Duce for CHM151LL & CHM230 lecture/lab. Great teacher. He presents material slowly and clearly and cares about the success of his students. He's more fun in O-Chem - you can tell he loves it. His tests aren't super easy, no curves, but it was a good challenge and I learned a lot. If he taught 152, I'd love to take another class with him.

His nickname is "Dr. Death" and it's true. Less than 1/2 way through the semester almost 1/2 the class had dropped because they were failing. If you find chemistry confusing, Duce will make it that much harder to understand. Duce is VERY difficult to understand. His lectures are all over the place. I don't recommend him at all.

Overall Duce was a great teacher. His lecture style is fast and he expects you to know the subject, so kind of hard to learn, but he is great one on one and if you make the effort to learn he will support you and does care about the success of his students. Tests are hard and he expects a lot but study and you'll be fine.
