One of the best professors in the MBA program! Extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his field. Makes difficult concepts crystal clear, encourages learning, stimulates interest. Highly recommended!

Very approachable. Class is challenging, but if you keep up with work each week, you'll do fine. He is intersted in student's success. Does what he can to help. Makes class interactive. Very knowledgable on management topics. A great professor. Tests are based on the book. Projects are practical and applicable to real world.

I usually don't like to bad talk teachers. But this guy is HORRIBLE! With a capitol H. Don't take him, the worst teacher. Test are too long and has no practal implication to real life. He is an a--hole and I don't suggest the teacher to my worst enemies.

He is not easy. Read the book! His exams were tough, especiallyt he scenerios. Pay attention and ask questions if you don't understand. He is really nice and funny. Overall, he does curve/drop lowest test. No EC and no homework

I have to agree with the last person. The class is not easy. Half the class was failing or getting D's before the final. The questions on the test uses senarios that are hard to follow and most of the questions have more than one right answer. Office hours do not help, although he says it does!

This guy is hilarious! I love the lectures and the power point slides. This class changed my life and I owe it all to him. I will name all of my babies after him, even the girls! If he ran for president, I would vote for him. he will one day cure cancer and all forms of social injustice.

Very easy class. I took his honors class. I could have never attended class and still received an easy A. Just know the chapters (especially the definitions of the bolded words.) He is a wonderful person. However, power point slides put you to sleep

Know the chapters in the book inside and out before tests and you will be fine. Take his honors class, it's more discussion based and alot less time spent on lecture. Overall he's a good teacher that just got a bad rap from poor students.

Mayes is a good guy and has a lot of knowledge. Tests are based on readings and his lecture notes are less relevant on tests. Tests are challenging but as long as you know your reading and the powerpoints on the CD from the book you will do fine.
