Comes off abrasive and rude at first. Clearly very opinionated politically and not afraid to announce it to the class. He is a good prof however. He will work with students - offered a review session before the final and an extra credit opportunity for those willing to take it. He is very knowledgeable and good at passing on that knowledge to us.

Comment:

First impression: A little obnoxious and rude. But it got better. He's very opinionated and blunt. When you get used to him, he's cool. As a person, he's great. Has a nice office. Don't call him Mr. Offit. Not for the faint of heart. Second section (physical anthro, e.g. buckets of evolution) is hardest.

One of my favorite profs at Baylor. He is funny and makes class interesting. An enjoyable class and you will learn some interesting stuff too. Not very hard. I highly recommend taking him.

he's probably one of the funniest teachers ive ever had! his sense of humor and wit make coming to class actually worth while. and....he gives review sheets for all of his tests. which is excellent.

This class is awesome! Dr. Offit is an excellent teacher, makes the material easy to understand, and makes me want to come to class. We have the most interesting discussions in class and I love how he gets everyone in the class involved. I highly recommend taking ANY of his classes!

Easy to make at least a B if you go to class and take notes. Attendance taken 5 times a semester. Gives review for tests. Also gives extra credit, up to 6 pts on final semester grade. Definitely take if you need to get a social science class done.
