He is literally the worst professor I have ever had and doesn't actually teach any calc during the class, the class doesn't actually entail any calc the textbook is basically all reading with a few calc equations.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU HAVE NEVER TAKEN CALCULUS BEFORE!!!! He is extremely condescending and does not seem to want his students to succeed. His exams are difficult and he wastes time during the class giving "life lessons" instead of teaching us calculus. DO NOT TAKE WITH HIM!!!!!!!

I enjoyed this seminar once it was over but not all that much while I was in it. Definitely glad I took it. I think Tom is an interesting person. He isn't super warm but not cold either. He doesn't really give instructions on papers because he doesn't want students to write catered to his needs. He hates canceling class time so never expect it

Over all a great class, however Tom did very little teaching (the whole class is just discussion). My only complaint is that he gives very little guidance on assignments.

After taking this class, it made me think of why I came to college and what I hope to achieve. This class can be overwhelming, especially with some of the projects you have to do. Make sure you plan and manage your time. Overall, I found this class very interesting!

Out of the honors seminars, this one seemed to be one of the more attainable ones. The seminar is discussion-based and Tom doesn't intervene much. There's a really big assignment near the end of the semester that caused a lot of stress, but if you plan ahead it should be doable. Overall, he's a pretty fair professor.

Very helpful, very likable and very very hot!! Has amazing dressing style! I'm now taking a second class with him and his classes are not easy but he is always available at his office (literally) and helps you out wherever you need. Also flexible on paper deadlines! Amazing professor!!

Challenging professor, but his class gives you a great sense of accomplishment if you work hard at it. He gives credit for effort, and all in all, he's a nice guy. He plays off of students who have a sense of humor, which makes class pretty enjoyable.
